can a student from another state(outside west Bengal) take admission in thus college ? How many outside state students take admission in btech each year???

Jadavpur University, Kolkata is a a government univerisity in Kolkata.Candidates who are resident of West Bengal or hold domicile of West Bengal are eligible to get admission through WBJEE.Candidates from other states are not eligible to get admission in any government institute/University through WBJEE.You can only seek admission in private or deemed institution in West Bengal through WBJEE.
There isn't data available on how many Candidates from others states join in B.tech in West Bengal but over 1.27 lakhs register in WBJEE 2020.

Minimum marks for geography UG??

Hello aspirant

Bsc hons geography is a three year undergraduate course. The basic eligibility criteria for this course is 50% in 10+2 in any discipline.

Admission to this course can be merit based or based on counselling after clearing entrance exams as prescribed by the university.

How many marks is required to get admission for general stream?

Minimum marks for English UG in 2020??

Hi Ayan,

For B.A. in English your 10+2 must have completed from a recognised board at the time of application form filling which most probably commence from the first week of June. The categorywise minimum aggregate is:

General: At least 75%
PD: At least 71%.
SC/ST: At least 56%.
BC-A/OBC-B/Kashmiri Migrants/Sports: At least 67%

A qualifying is also conducted and then final merit list is made. The weightage is as follows:

50% weightage of marks obtained in English in H.S./Equivalent Examination
50% weightage to the performance in a written admission test.

obviously IEM CSE 's placement is much more better than JU PHARMACY.And you should go for IEM CSE.

Admission to BSc Mathematics in Jadavpur University is based on the merit of qualifying examination. You have fill the form online and if your name comes in the merit list,further you'll be notified about it and called for interview.No entrance test is conducted in this regard.

As there is not any official data available but still after having record from some resources we get that there are total 39 seats available in jadavpur university in geological department , but this count may vary according to the situation , including admission through management quota and etc.

we can join jadavpur university by other exam except wbjee

Jadavpur University is a State University of West Bengal and thus the admission is done through WBJEE. So, if you want to get into Jadavpur, first sit for WBJEE. It is the only examination to get into Jadavpir University for B.Tech. To get into JU, if you are going for Electronics, CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation etc, then you need a very decent score, your rank should be under 500-700. But, if you want toget in IT, Power, Printing, Construction -etc then scoring under 1200 will be good.

College Infrastructure

The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.

My experience at Jadavpur University was great.

College Infrastructure

The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.

Very nice experience.

Our University has very good infrastructure. But a little bit old fashioned. But our department has many laboratories such as APPLIED MECHANOCS LAB, HEAT POWER LAB, HYDRAULICS LAB, FITTING SHOP, CARPENTRY SHOP, BLUE EARTH MACHINE SHOP, FOUNDRY SHOP, FORGING SHOP. We also have two computer labs in our department.
