for engineering department jadavpur has 100% placement. almost all students gets placed with 2-3 offers in hand, some opted for higher studies in foreign countries. with engineering companies also business developments , financial companies visits campus. the highest packages get in information technology departments students. last year highest package was 30 lpa. average packages offers to candidate is 3.5 lpa.

jadavpur is absolutely safe university for girls and even for all gender candidates wo wants to pursue higher education , are from another state.

see there may be some political offense  one or two can take place in campus, but dont worry if you keep your self apart from involving in any party and concentration in your study, you will not get any harm or need to face any problem.

Marks Will keep on fluctuating from year to year as they depend on various factors like number of candidates appearing and also the paper level, etc. So I'll guide you with the ranks. The least rank that got admission into Jadhavpur University his branch being Production Engineering had a rank of 44065. But I'll suggest you to prefer branch over college. So I'll guide you about the top branches of the same university too. Computer Engineering has a cutoff rank of approx 8051. Electronics engineering has Cutoff rank of around 9104. You can't change your branch in higher studies. If you want to do Masters then you have to do it in the same branch you have done your graduation.
This is because Masters is specialization of one domain which you studied in your undergraduate.
So you can't.
You can go for any other work in which you are interested or go for higher studies in your domain.

Yes, you will surely get into your desired stream if you are under 100 in WBJEE.Outside state students are not eligible 4 government colleges but Jadavpur University is not a government college but its a university. So other states students can get into JU if they score well in in wbjee.

The minimum rank required to get cse in jadavpur university through webjee is around 600-700.

Also to be eligible to get admission at  Jadavpur University you  have to score at least 60% (45% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Math.

As you did not mention the stream I am providing you with the cutoff information of CSE.

After 3 rounds

Cutoff for outside state students is 107

And for home state students is 103 !

All dreams of getting cse at 300, 350 ranks lie shattered.

I think that you will be well aware that IITs and NITs and CFTIs areo top . After that private colleges and universities are also very good but you should go for your regional good colleges.

It is indeed really hard because The Jadavpur University faculty council of Engineering Departments has decided to reserve 90% seats for domicile candidates from this year.
So, its really seems difficult to enter the college now though i will get a good rank then you may have chances.
