Jadavpur is the best engineering college in top ten list of India but IIT dhanbad also consist in top ranking but as my suggestion IIT dhanbad is the best option instead jadavpur. Another the main thing many cases branch are main priority than colleges,when you will get top branches of jadavpur like CSE, ECE etc and in IIT dhanbad like petroleum, mineral and environmental engineering then you will go jadavpur but in IIT dhanbad you will get like CSE,ECE and top most branchs so this is the best option to select IIT dhanbad and we know that the IIT is the brand.

The engineering department of Jadavpur University is one of the bests in India and the best in Kolkata. The alumni network is quite good and helpful. There is unity among the present students too. The alumnis keep visiting the campus and are very friendly. 

Hello aspirant ! Let me to inform you that if you are a resident of west Bengal then only you will be able to exercise your reservation if you have got any. However for a non West Bengal candidate you must have a rank under 1000 rank to get admission in jadavpur university. Elsewise ranks greater than 1000 and outside Bengal candidate has no Chance in jadavpur university.

I am sorry to tell you but a general rank of 12300 and an SC rank of 560, I don't think you will be able to get admission in Jadavpur University. You are in a very tight position and the chances of getting admission seem bleak. I hope this information was helpful!

Yet, there has been no official declaration of the registration dates and registration fees. But as far from some source, the money that has to be deposited as registration fees is something around Rs.10.7k. Stay  tuned with the official notice for the same at the official respective site.

Jadavpur University is a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal. It has two campuses, the main campus at Jadavpur and the new campus at Salt Lake. It was upgraded to a full-fledged university in 1955. The University has its origin in the erstwhile National Council of Education. The University offers M.E./ M.Tech, M.Pharm., M.Arch. and MCA at PG level. The minimum eligibility for these programs is a candidate must be graduate in relevant stream, GATE or GPAT or Admission Test conducted by University. The entrance test for M.TECH in Jadavpur University was on May 23 - 31, 2019.

There are only 36 general seats in The Jadavpur University in the Political Science dept. So it's hard to say about your chances of getting admission there. But you can wait for the next round of counsellings and also attend all the counsellings.
