The ranks cutoff rank for CSE has been about 5000–5500 for the past few years so I can tell you that your general rank should be within 6000. Frankly speaking, you might not be able to get CSE.

But you can get CSSE or CSCE or IT or ECS. All are basically CS sub-branches. And companies don’t care about which branch you are from except some companies, but they only forbid core branches from attending placement in their company.

Also, if you fail to get the branch of your choice you can apply for branch change after the first year if your CGPA is 8.5 or higher. And you may get CSE that way.

Take admission in Kiit because it have good all india rank in engineering . good all india rank says that its havw good teaher,good placement.If you go for good campus or large campus then go for lpu.

KIIT UNIVERSITY, BHUVANESHWAR

Which tells that it is kalinga institute of industrial technology in Bhuvaneshwar.

The safe rank for the main campus would have been below 5000 but nevertheless i have seen cases with 10,000 rank scorers getting CSE or IT(but this was 2 years back). I would suggest you to wait until all seats are filled up because good students will go for other colleges and you may end up getting a seat. I would also suggest you to have an open mind for CSE and IT both.

KIIT doesn't share any particular cutoff for any branch however based on previous year admissions you need to have a general rank below 6k to get CSE in KIIT. However the cutoff changes every year hence there's still some hope left for you. So positively go for counseling you might get a seat in the branch.

As per as the previous 2 year statistics the closing rank for computer science to get an admission into KIIT is at least a rank of 3000.Hence with a rank of 4226 you won't get an admission into CSE.But with the same rank you might have got a computer science Btech admission before 4 years.

See since it's a private institution u can take admission in any of the branch until the seats get full. U can also apply through the management quota for the desired seat in the desired branch. U will be easily getting seat there.
