The college is not as big as other colleges in Mumbai and DU in Delhi, bit the basic amenities are made available in the college. The classes are well-maintained with a proper structure and the canteen has affordable food. The library has a remarkable collection of books and the labs have all necessary apparatus. There is no ground in the campus except a building and the WiFi service, though provided, does not have sound connectivity.
The teachers are highly supportive and experienced. I am pursuing B.Tech in CS which has a proper course structure and is well updated equivalent to all the skills required in the corporate sector, and hence making the course job-ready. The teachers conduct smooth internal processes but there is strict attendance issue.
About 80% of the students are placed every year from the college, which is a phenomenal achievement. The highest package was nearly 12 lacs p.a, with the average package ranging between 5-6 lacs p/a, which is good for a fresh pass out. There is an active placement cell operational in the college responsible for inviting the top companies in the college.
NMIMS is very expensive and is not affordable for all. My yearly fees was 3 lacs p/a, but good academic aspect and guaranteed jobs are the best compensation for the amount charged by them. The provision of all the facilities make the college worthwhile. The fees of almost all the courses are high, but other factors should be considered.
The campus life is amazing with the location being in one of the most developed parts of Mumbai, with places round to hang out. The teachers are supportive and the staff is cooperative. There are various activities and societies in the college like music, dance and drama. Besides, there are educational societies and others like MUN society. There is medical room to handle the emergencies effectively.
I would recommend this college to a job-oriented person. A person who is aspiring to excel in sports should not go for NMIMS, due to limited sports facilities.
Amazing building. Very well air conditioned. Multiple libraries in the two buildings. Atrium also has good place to study and the canteen also has good variety of food at very reasonable rates and the seating is also nice.
Good teachers. Syllabus is updated regularly and teachers are given today freedom to update and change the syllabus according to the latest industry requirements. Keeping up to date with whatever is happening.
Good packages. A large number of companies come for the placements and the packages being offered to students are also very good. With the option of placements in various parts of the country not just Mumbai.
Fee is very high. Around two lakh seventy fine thousands per year. But the facilities being provided are very nice and the infrastructure available makes the cost of education worth it. Not too expensive considering world class facilities
Hostels are situated at a very bad place for undergraduate student and do not have basic necessities like air conditioners and the WiFi only works after 6pm in the evening which is very restrictive. Not recommended
The infrastructure is great and the class are good place to study ..the atmosphere makes us in the mood of studying but the only problem is we don't have any place to play nd there is nothing in the building except classrooms
I am studying civil engineering and the reason is because my family has a history on this and I love doing it..they teach well and the compulsory attendance rule is good because at least for that reason we can study in class
I don't have experience in this because it's just my first year but I have got to know from the seniors that the placements are too good from this college nd great companies come to recruit students and have great experience from the beginning
My course cost 3,11,500 inr per year and I guess it's worth because this college gives a lot of exposure and teaching style is also too good and we learn a lot so I guess paying this much is worth and I love this college
Till now I didn't had much of a college experience but I did have new friends and it's cool that my friends and my sister is also in the same college so anything we do timepasses too fast.location of the college is also good
Overall it's good place to study and secure your future in a good way
The infrastructure is apt and rich. It's fun to study in such infrastructure. Although compact, the classes are spacious and sufficient and so are the motorized screens used to teach alongwith the PowerPoint presentations.
The academic curriculum is updated and relevant. The classes are spacious and sufficient with value for money fee and technological usage like the portal and course outline system. The assignments and attendance are also taken online.
The placement cell is really efficient. The placements of my seniors have been aspiring and inspiring. They have gotten their dream jobs that value their talents, strengths alongwith their weakness...
Resources and faculty prove the valye for money
It is a very good campus. Well equipped with a lot of modern facilities. However, improvements can obviously be made. Modernization of many things already implemented in various universities can also be brought here.
It is a very good course with many practical subjects and the faculties are also quite engaging and fun. There is always room for improvement and there are certain aspects in which the academics part of things could be improved.
Not aware about the placements so much so but from what i have heard, the placements are quite good with many multi-national corporations coming to look for students via on campus interviews with some number guaranteed.
The college infrastructure is fine. All the classrooms have air conditioners that are working, we have a decent Library for books- the reference books we require for our study are made available, we have smart boards in our classrooms which are in proper working conditions. The other facilities like computer labs, wifi, etc are present in the campus. Glad that the infrastructure is well maintained. Although there are factors to be improved upon.
I'm a First year BBA student at ASMSOC, NMIMS. I joined this college for this particular course because of my interest in the course also keeping in mind that this college is India's best private BBA college. And proudly I can definitely say, that in terms of academics the course outline for all the 6 subjects(they change in every semester) is pretty good. The pedagogy, that the college follows is made keeping in mind the students and is updated.
Being a first year student, I really don't have a great idea about the placements given but having heard from seniors the placements are decent but still can be way better owing to the fact that we've studied in NMIMS after all.
The fee demanded by the college is a bit too much, and to be honest it hasn't really been value for money till now, at least! Like there are a lot of facilities given but still a few factors just take away the freedom students might have otherwise, hence limiting their chances of personal growth.
The campus for us commerce students is just 2 floors actually. So we don't really have a big college campus and really were upset with this fact in the beginning but now we're accustomed with it. The location of college is pretty fine and this area is safe for students. The college in matters of emergencies can handle them but personally I haven't faced any such situation as of now. Also, for students there are a lot alot of clubs they can be a part of which makes our college life better!!
Overall the college is good, but still it can improve on factors like attendance and extra Curricalars for the students as it enables for an all round development of the students! On a whole one can join NMIMS if they're totally engrossed in studies but students wanting more of extra curricalars might have to give a second thought!
Fabulous. Our lectures are in mithibai college which is exactly opposite to nmims but we have access to nmims main building. The atmosphere on the ground floor is very good to work or study. Classes are also well maintained.
Awesome. They are covering everything till we reach third year. In the first they they built out foundation by including subjects that makes our basics clear. Then they specialise in the feild that we have choosen
Well i am a first year student so i dont know mich about placements but the seniors tell us that if we do well and apply all that we have studies in 3 years then we can get a package of 7-8 lakhs and a extraordinary package goes till 13-15 lakhs per year.
Not that satisfactory. The fees that nmims demads is a bit high of an average student or a middle class student also we are paying 3 lakhs per year and still our lectures are held in mithibai. Also they are planning to shift out lectures to main building from next year. Lets ses
Very good. I love nmims campus life as it give me an overall experience of how a college life should be. Also it make me learn how face my difficulties and overcome them as you wake up at 12:25 and your lectures is in 5 mins but still you learn to reach college because you cant miss attendance.
Satisfactory
NMIMS is a great college but just that there is no sports centre and campus is literally a floor of the building. Otherwise it's a great college. The library is pretty big and there are smart boards in all the classes and it has WiFi.
I am currently in my third year of BBA and I am quite satisfied with what is being taught here. The course is in line with what is required in the industry and takes into account all the relevant changes to be brought into the course to suit the current market requirements.
The college has seen placements from good, well known companies but not all the students get placed. The average package is decent as per undergraduate degree. The companies keep coming throughout the year.
The course I my pursuing, i.e. BBA, approximately costs me 2.5 lakhs a year. The academics and the overall development and growth offered quite justify the cost paid each year. There is a high return on the money invested.
There is nothing actually in terms of campus. There is literally just a floor in the name of campus. But the college has efficiently managed everything. The student has several activities in which they can take part as per their preferences and interests. The teachers are really supportive and leave no stone unturned to fine tune the student's knowledge and understanding.
