Gateway for admissions to Engineering courses @ Symbiosis
All the facilities are available in our college like wifi labs. In the hostel, High-Speed Internet Connectivity is also there. The library facility is also available. Almost every book related to engineering in all fields books is available there. There need more set up of Canteens And stationery shops inside the campus. And the most Medical Facility is also. The classroom has more than enough capacity to acquire the students. It is good news that there is an ongoing project for the sports compl
I studied Mechanical Engineering over there. And the quality of teaching I got is quite well. The faculties are too friendly in terms of every aspect. They give extra time for the students for clarifying their doubts. I am happy to get this facility which provides me energy for my exams.the curriculum activity also helps me to be fit and energetic. By having a good quality of teaching my confidence for getting placed in top MNC is around 80-90%.
The placement activity which is the most important part of our career and for which we all had joined this college is got successful. By getting the highest 17LAC PA package which is very much good for us. Around 70-80% of students were got placed in various companies with average salaries and 10% of the bright students with High package salaries.
It cost around 2lac per annum including hostel and academic fees. Yes, it is worth getting the value for your money.
Campus life for me was awesome. The cultural fest, Technical Fest, Nos of activity done by club member makes campus life more interesting and add a fun element in the student's life.the location of our campus is outside of the city which is far from the shore of the city.it is located on the highway expressway. and yes it can handle emergencies.
Overall experience in this college is very good. I had one of the most amazing 4yr of experience with lots of fun, drama, and knowledge.
Yes it has most of the requirements and facilities. They also maintain a clean and hygiene living spaces but according to me food is not hygienic. The places where the utensils are cleaned is totally dirty and surrounded by cats and dogs who licks the plates
I am studying BTech in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. The quality of teaching in the Cse department is more or less good . The curriculum is not upto date and recent developments and technology is not included
The placement in our college is average. About 75% students gets placement . The highest salary package was 18.75 lacs and it was from the ece branch 2 students were qualified and got placement .The average salary offered is 3-4 lacs per annum
The course cost is 1.47 lacs per year which accounts to around 6 lacs per year where the mess dues are excluded..Yes i feel that i am getting my money's worth as the placement and teaching is good in our college
College campus though small but its greenery everywhere..The plants are planted and its a beautiful to walk..The students can engage in different activities as we have different clubs who conduct some open stage competition or some fun events where its good we can participate and earn prize and certificates
Yes, the college has all the necessary facilities. Smart classes, security cameras. The laboratories are all well equipped. The food hygiene is good. The campus is green . There is a canteen in campus.
I was studying Computer science and engineering at the college. The quality of teaching was good. They provide good notes to read. You can secure good CGPA. The curriculum was somewhat up to date. The professor's are supportive.
The quality of placements was good. If a student secures more than the cutoff marks then most probably they will get placed. The average salary offered is around 3 lpa. The placement process is very easy.
The course cost is quite low as compared to other colleges in Odisha. It was worth it . In that much fees you get good education there.
The best feature of the college is its academics and students. There are number of clubs for encouraging the students to do different stuffs. The MUN is also organised in college.. but the college life is too disciplined to have fun.
No. That was all. The college is located in between the hills. The environment is green all around .There are hostels located inside the campus. You get water supply in the hostels whole day. There isn't any problem of electricity.
Yeah , my collage provide with all the necessary requirements (tools & technology) for our IT needs. I am living in campus hostel its gets clean weekly and foods are stored in a green room and are food is coocked with the heat of the sun using solar concentrater.
My stream is IT and want to work on open source. The quality of teachning is fine but i dont attend too much classes as I think its better to learn advance tools & technology which are not taught in any of the collages.
It all same as the other private collages. Infosys is the day one company then the other such as wipro, sankalp , western digital and so on. wipro has nodel center in our campus but we prepare for manly for off campus.
1.2 lakes per year
Its quite good
NO
Ya, It does have the basics labs and all but you don't find any suitable hours to beat the bush. They all are poorly maintained. The management literally sucks. You will not get airconditioned classroom and all. Don't go by the admission team. Must do a ground check before joining.
Ya, they do have good strong work ethic. But very less faculties and teaching staffs are leftovers who actually knows the things.Remaining all sucks!!! And the end its all you who need to work before to get the things cleared.
It's you who need to work to clear or get placed anywhere! Ya, the college do pushed you for the same but don't believe what they are showing you on their websites. 2020 passout batch does have good placement results but it's the student who did all the stuffs. Ya sure they will not hesitate to provide bus for your transport during placement days if you all are in bulk.
Comparatively to another colleges on the basis of the quality of education they promised to bring and all that they have stated you, somwhere in between NIST works it do if you want to spent not more than 8 for doing the same.
There are some clubs you can go through you can enjoy some of your quality time over here but you can't compare your engineering days to one of your friends who is there in any of the smart cities. They have many restrictions on timing and all!
Do what you want to do but my suggestion: Have yourself clear before joining make a background check asks some of the recent pass out students or do ask the one who is still there. The worst thing management literally sucks. They don't have any supremo everyone claims they are the head of the institution. High management crisis the college future is high instake. Not only the students the faculties are also in trouble over there.
Our college have all the necessary equipments required for every student with good wifi facilities great classrooms , books for every details in the library with hygienic food and clean environment and the hostels are well maintained.
I am studying computer science and engineering now and the quality of teaching is very good with every materials available for the subjects required and our regular information is updated and makes us job ready.
It has been quite good and students with 8 and above cgpa are getting placed and the highest package of salary till now is 18.5lpa and the average salary is 2.3lpa and college was supportive to us and provided every requirements.
We pay around 1 lakh per year and the fees is worth the materials and notes we get are good enough worth the money and the faculties pay attention to each and every topic and even teach extra topics .
Campus life is too good and students can even engage themselves in a lot activities and there different clubs and staff members also support every student and the location of college is good and can handle emergencies.
Facilities available in our college are remarkable and applause as the college is well equipped with modern infrastructure. The spacious classrooms ,high-tech laboratories ,the innovative incubation center,a healthy cafeteria, well facilitated hostels, the 24/7 medical facilities ,well equipped gym ,a swimming pool, sports courts, the spacious reading halls with highly assisted staffs make my college a ambient world class education provider. In addition to this there are two atm within the campus.
NIST ranks among the best college of odisha in every terms. It empowers research, innovation and focusses in the overall development of student. The college is very strict in its terms and conditions and provides transparency in knowledge departing as well as in exams.Every it provides summer courses to the students in respective departments. The exams are conducted in a periodic basis internally followed by the 2 semester exams in a year. The college makes completely ready for the job by trainings
The quality of the placements in my college is pretty good.In 2019 NIST students got placed through 62 campus placement drives by MNCs such as amazon,TCS, and many more. The highest campus placement package for this year was 28 lakhs. Around 90% of the students were placed.Throughout the process our faculties don't leave any stone unturned and and give the best possible guidance.
The course costs around 1.47 lakhs/year.Yes definitely my money are not going in vain because i am gaining the real time knowledge of my field .NIST has an incubation center also which empowers innovation..
The campus life is quite competitive but healthy. There are lots of different clubs in college of various arena like dance, dramatic, coding, music, counselling,NSS,literature and so on.The clubs conducts various events periodically which not only helps in gaining knowledge but enhances the personality as well. All the faculties are quite supportive and ready to help always.
The college life at NIST is the most interesting phase of my life which has taught how to live with challenges. This has given me the opportunity to explore and get equipped with the challenges of life and has made a strong foundation of knowledge and skills of mine.It has made me understand that learning never ends.Honestly i am indebted to my college for all my learnings which i will take further with me.
Consists of good ecology system. Limited classes with projectors. Should contain more smart instruments. Good classrooms with great and enormous space. Consists of a great auditorium for special talks by intellectual guests.
Old methodology of making students learn . Good for in syllabus explanations . Lacking of exotic information. Exploring and innovative characters is not available in most teachers . Good for solving small doubts
Most of the students are placed by off campus. Great for on campus startup company placement for students. Would have been more progressive if college politics was bit less. Good in placements preparation .
Too much cost paying for same old methodology of making students learn. Not much technical support in this college. Limited source available as compared to the fast changing world. Good in some topics .
Not much great for some teachers but some teachers madee this college worth selectable but unfortunately they are very few in number. Some teachers still make it good but they're less in number comparatively.
Much students value for their money . More innovative ways to create enthusiasm for students to learn and have fun too. A lot of technical support should be added as it's an educational as well as technical institute.
The college provides us with basic equipment and facilities needed as a student. The campus environment is rich of flora and well built infrastructure. The classrooms are provided with smart boards and projectors, along with a 24 hours continuous WiFi connection. The sports room has all equipment needed .The hostel boarding is different for men and women and each have their own living space and canteen along with a common cafeteria for the day boarders. The food provided is hygienic and healthy.
I am a BTech 3rd year student in computer science and engineering branch and I am doing this because computers can help us innovate and enhance the technology. The teachers are well qualified from the various government institutions from our country. They have good communication skills and help the student learn efficiently. The curriculum is changed every year according to the requirement in the industry. We get trained for our interviews and entrance tests.
various companies turn up every year and recruit many students. the placement statistics keeps changing every year but the highest package offered till date was 18.9 lakhs per annum to two students in the year 2019. the average salary offered by the mass recruiters is 3.5 to 4.5 per annum, and the college prepares us beforehand for all the steps of the placement activity.
I pay around 1,80,000 per year including my hostel fees and canteen bills. I think I am getting good value for my money since my stay as been for over 3 years.
The infrastructure is great. we have gardens, parks and playgrounds to enjoy after classes. There is a basketball and volleyball court, swimming pool, indoor games and well equipped gym. the students and staff here create a friendly environment for everyone. In case of hostel students, we celebrate various festivals in the campus and also have supportive hostel superintendents. the college is located in the outskirts of Berhampur city. there is 24/7 available ambulance for emergencies.
The college proviedes good transport facilities. The college has around 7-8 buildings and each building is provided for different branches.Wi-Fi facility is good and there are two WiFi facilities, one for all and another on only for the campus students. There are around 3 libraries and all of them are air-conditioned and we'll cleaned.
Teachers are highly qualified and very helpful. They are friendly in nature and they also use new technology to elaborate the topics.Course is fine but can be better. One problem is that here more theoretical knowledge is provided.
Here no company comes for internship. You have to apply by your own.The percentage of students use placed here is 65-70%.The highest package for the 2020 batch is 18.5lpa and the lowest is 2.5lpa and the average package is 3-3.5lpa.
If you are not selected for TIER 1 and TIER 2 colleges and don't want to invest 18-24lacs for the b.tech career. Then you can join NIST because the Tuition fee for around 4yrs is approx 6.5lacs apart from mess and other essential fees.
Campus life is overall good here.Students are engaged in various activities like clubs and social works ,which organizes events every month.Since it is situated in outskirts of Berhampur city you won't be able to enjoy the city life much and will be restricted to college campus only.
At the end I would only like to add that it's not about the college,it's about the students.I have seen seniors who are well settled in abroad and some are still roaming for jobs. So it's how one is investing his/her time properly at the correct place to have a fruitful output after 4 years.

Hello Aspirant
GITA is superior to NIST in every way, not just with regard to placement. The colleges host the same hiring companies because they are almost in the same geographic vicinity and have nearly identical accreditations. However, I also consider fee structures to be important factors. And the GITA pricing schedule is reasonable.
Thanks
