As per your rank, it's extremely difficult for you to get civil branch in NIT kurukshetra. So your options must be Mechanical in NIT Silchar. As per the statics Mechanical branch has good placement rate at NIT silchar as compared to civil branch at NIT Kurukshetra.

Also silchar has great campur full of Lucious greenery.

Ece and instrumentation engineering  is a newly added in nit silchar.

Mechanical and electrival is core and both are always preferred as good.

So as per ypur choice you can choose anything from this nit.

Yes there are many good NITs and IITs which offers Automobile engineering but there is no branch of Automobile Engineering with mechanical in NIT Silchar.

Some NITs which offers Automobile Engineering are:-

6-MANIT,Bhopal.

If we compare in terms of placement than definitely NIT Silcar is better than Assam Engineering College. A lot of companies visit the campus with good packages in NIT silcar. And most importantly it's an NIT, so it's a brand in itself that positively works in the favour of college.

Sice you belong from home state as well as female quota. Your ews category rank should be around 24k that means your general rank should be around 200000. For getting a rank under 200000 your percentile should be around 80. You can check cutoff rank of all branches
