I got St rank 3284 and crl rank of 214010 and didn't get in 1st round in nit silchar.... Should I wait for other rounds??

Yes. You should wait for the next counseling round as you might get any branch, though it might not be the top branch. But NIT is NIT so give it a try.

As part of jee counselling. I need to report to tezpur university between 28th June to 2nd july as I have been allotted to nit silchar.

Yes counselling will remain continued for all days betweeb 28 June to 2nd July, even if it is sunday.

I have been alloted to nit silchar(civil). As I belong obc ncl, I have to submit ncl certificate as well which should be dated aftr 1 april

Hi,

NIT silchar is counted in one of the most reputed institutes of our country and also it is known for following rules and regulations very strictly. Now as you are saying that you have a NCL which will be expiring in october, then you should go and submit that one. And tell the authorities about your situation, I'm sure they will be willing to help you. Or you can directly mail and phone the authorities regarding your option. They usualy reply within a couple of days.

Suppose I get in NIT tezpur in round 1 and the I get in NIT Silchar in round 2. Will i have to report twice in such a case ?

Hi niharika ,
NO you dont have to visit both the times once you visit you just have to tell them to float till you dont get your desired college and branch as per your choices and later if you dont go for reporting then automatically after 4th round the last desingnated college will get locked .
Afterwards you have to visit for documents verification .

Your rank is decent so it will not be possible for you to get into the best colleges but only the decent ones.

Which is best NIT Silchar or NIT Durgapur

Hello Vamsikrishna,

As per the resources available, It shows that NIT SILCHAR,ASSAM IS BETTER THAN NIT DURGAPUR,WEST BENGAL.

The above suggestion as per the ratings given to these colleges.the rating of NIT SILCHAR is 4.2, and that Of NIT DURGAPUR is 3.7.

But NIT Durgapur provides more UG courses than NIT SILCHAR.

both the Nits provides almost the same facilities to their students.

Hey Baby Mahala, congratulation to you for your jee Mains rank. With 29375 rank in JEE MAINS, you have a decent chance to get admission in NIT silchar for civil engineering despite from an unreserved category. As this college closes its admission around 40,000 for civil engineering

So firstly you should know that both the colleges are good for girl candidate and it depends on you that which one is less far from your home.

NIT Silchar maintains a well-maintainned campus with modern infrastructure - spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards, central library, sports facilities and descent hostels. Overall infrastructure is good which helps in excelling in academics and extra-curricular activities.

College Infrastructure

The hostel experience was nice, with timely breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, the mobile network was very poor in the hostel room and sometimes lan did not work properly. classrooms are in pretty good condition in new gallery classroom. for civil laboratories, the equipment was not maintain properly.
