Dear Aspirant,

Try to score a percentile 97.5+ because with 97.5 percentile CRL rank would be around: 25575 - 28750 .

This will be  beneficial with SC Category , with this rank, SC rank would also be under 6000(approx.)

With this there are decent chances for NIT warangal, NIT trichy and other NITs.

Hello,

In 2020 a candidate belonging to general category (female) secured admission to Computer Science Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli with rank 2757 in round 6 under Other state quota. Considering the previous year cut off you need to secure rank around 2700. To secure such rank you need to score minimum 99-99.5 percentile or more and the marks required are minimum 210-240 marks or above in JEE Main. These are the estimated score. The rank with the estimated score may vary. The percentile vs marks vs rank trend changes every year.

Cut off changes every year it may increase or decrease depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Hi there,

Master of Science(Chemistry) is a two-year postgraduate course that offers deep knowledge in the field of chemistry. Coming to your point of comparison between two different NIT's.

See, I would suggest you go with the NIT tricky because it has amazing placement and good academic with campus life. However, I am mentioning both of these colleges solely.

NIT Trichy

  • Establishment year: 1961
  • Offers 10 specialisations in M.Sc
  • Less fees as compared to NIT Rourkela
  • Exams Accepted: IIT JAM, CCMN
  • Good placement ratio with a median salary

NIT Rourkela

  • Established year: 1964
  • Offers 13 specializations in M.Sc
  • Comparatively highest fees structure for two years.
  • Exams Accepted: IIT JAM, CCMN
  • Good placement ratio.

The AAverage salary offered in NIT Trichy is equal to 6.40LPA while in the case of NIT Rourkela it is equal to 6.10 LPA.

After all, everything depends upon the rank secured by the candidate in the main exams.

Thank you!!

Hi

With   96.4 percentile

It is difficult to make prediction but when we go through previous year trend then

You hold a low chance for chemical engineering in NIT trichy even under home state

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under home state quota , closing  rank for gender neutral for general category in NIT trichy  was 28925  rank  for chemical engineering

But yes,

In NIT trichy with your rank under home state you have chances in branches like

  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology):- 42176 closing rank in 2020

  • Production Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology):- 37210

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This above prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
