The cutoff will not very so much from 2018 to now so you can get a fair idea from this.

Hello,

In order to join NIT Trichy, the candidate needs to score 230+ in JEE Mains examination. For better branches,  a score of 200 and above will also hold good.  For OBC categories,  the rank must lie within 5000 for admission in various core branches such as Mechanical,  Electrical,  ECE,  Civil, etc. For more details you can refer to the link given below :

Hello there,

The cutoff rank last year required for admission in NIT Trichy Mechanical Engineering branch in the last round of counseling for open seats were 14600 and 5968 for home state and other state candidates respectively.
You need to score at least above 180 and 250 marks as per last year for scoring these  ranks respectively.
Hope this helps

Joseph, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, the CAT cut off percentiles for General Category is 80 and for Reserved Categories it is around 75 percentile. And this is based on previous years' trends. Having said that CAT cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, n o.of Candidates qualified for the next round, difficulty of the exam and top CAT score.

You will have to appear for JEE Mains paper 2 for securing admission for B.Arch in NITs across India. I would recommend you to aim for SPAs rather than NITs if Architecture is what you want to pursue. Simply because SPAs have got better placement options.

All the best..!!

With 82.26% you can be shortlisted at NIT Trichy going by the previous years' cut offs. IITs are going to be tough because IIT Madras had a cut off of 85.11% in 2019 and IIT Kharaghpur also had a cut off of 85% in 2019. With 82.26%, you miss these 2 IITs by a narrow margin. But you have pretty fair chances at NIT Trichy. Few other Colleges that you may have a shot at are IRM Anand, NIT Durgapur, NIAEM Hyderabad, IIT Dhanbad, etc. You can also check our Pathfinder to check the list of all the Colleges that you may have a shot at: https://bschool.careers360.com/pathfinder/cat

Good luck

Kirti ,

You must target minimum 200 to get a good branch in NIT Trichy. Now that JEE mains will be conducted of 300 marks, time is not going to be a problem. So, target a minimum of 200 for good branches. 180 marks might get you a seat in branch like metallurgy but why take the risk. Target 200 for JEE mains and you'll definitely get a good branch in NIT Trichy.

Hope this helps and all the best!
