The UPES Dehradun admission process is done in two ways: direct admission on the basis of your 10+2 aggregate or through you JEE mains score. After going through varous applications they prepare merit list thus details regarding stream cutoffs are not available. You have to attend couselling to there.

Dear aspirant, As far as lateral entry on UPES Dehradun is concerned there are certain norms which you need to follow like
1.you must have passed a 3- yr diploma in any course.
2.You would directly be admitted to the 3rd semester of the on going b.tech program.
3.lateral entry generates only when seats are vacant due to drop out of students/ failure of students in any discipline or students debated.
4.for lateral entry students option of change of Branch is not there.
Further more admission procedure is as follows:
No. Of seats vacant for admission will be notified.
Applications shall be entertained only by post/email/or online mode.
There will be written test and interview whose weightage is written 80% and inter. 20%.
Selected candidates would be called upon through mails.
The fee structure for btech civil engineering is as
Fee 1st and 2nd sem- 168,500*2
Fee 3rd and 4rth sem-176,750*2
Fee 5th and 6th sem- 185,500*2
Fee 7th sem-194,509; Fee 8th sem-117,000

In UPES you will not have semester wise but an annual fee of hostel for about 1,40,000 per year. There are different options available on sharing basis as well but it will cost you according to your choice. You can get more details about this by contacting them.

The best course in Engineering at UPES is obviously Applied Petroleum Engg. with specialization in Upstream.The only reason being it's a Petroleum University and some of the best faculties at UPES belong to Petroleum Dept.

Yes, UPES Dehradun is a decent college for pursuing MBA. National Institute of Research and framework has ranked it 56th amongst the top colleges in India which offer MBA/PGDM courses.
Regarding the placement scenario, 95 percent of the candidates got placed in the year 2019 for HR executive and managerial posts in various companies like ABG,  Accenture,  Royal Enfield, IBM,  etc. The salary package offered ranged between 6-48 LPA.  Besides,  the hostel facility and resources are excellent.
