So, first to we need to know about your rank.

According to your marks and previous years trends of marks vs rank it seems that your rank would lie anywhere in between 15000 and 17500. However this is not the exact rank as it vary year to year.

According to some previous year cut offs, the closing rank for biotechnology at VIT is around 14000-20000 as of round 1, So we cannot conclude whether you will get a seat or not.

But there is more probability that you might get a seat at VIT.

see its totally depends upto you that in which course you are interested. if you are preparing for government exam specially in Rail, Sail etc then you shoud go for mechanical engineering from jadavpur.
Or you are interested in CSE, you want to make websites for MNCs then you should go for Vellore college.

After Btech you should not do MBA cause its totally different streams but if you are interested and you want to don MBA then you should go for ces engineering and go for Mba it will help you twice a way that in future if you do your own business then you can make websites for yourself as well as you can maintain your business easily or as same the way you can help others by making their website with business features.

As cse is in big demand in VIT Vellore so after watching the previous year trends you have to  secure rank under 5k to definitely get cse of category 1. For category 2 you have to secure rank under 20k.

VITEEE does not releases its cut offs . The seats in this college are basically filled just on the basis of your rank and the phase in which you have to go for counselling.

So, in terms of the marks it is not possible to predict your rank and in which phase you will be alloted for counselling. However if you are financially stable then you can easily get a seat in vit vellore .

However the fees structure in category 4 and category 5 are too high and would cost you around 21-25L in course of 4 years.

It is preferable to take admission in category 1 or category 2 . The fees structure is around 14-18L in course of 4 years.

For category 1 the first 20k rank holders are considered for admission and based on previous year cut offs, you have a high chance of falling under this category. Again, based on previous year cut offs you might get a rank of below 11k and you have a fairly good chance of getting biotechnology in the category 1 counselling. So, with regard of you're query. YEs there are chances for you for getting the Biotechnology course. To get the course through VITEEE one must have to score between 50 to 70 marks in the exam. However, scoring just 50 marks might be difficult to get the admission. Further, the cutoff varies every year, depending upon the level of the exam. So, don't worry about that.

The criteria for VITEEE entrance is as follows:

General Catrgory: 60% aggregate (PCM/B)

OBC/SC/ST Category: 50% aggregate (PCM/B)

This criteria is subject to change every once in a while. It is uncertain to say when the criterias change as it is a private university. They have the liberty to change it at will. While in some years it remains the same. In 2020 for example the criteria was 70% aggregate for general category. It has changed ever since.

Yes You can get into VIt in the Bio technology branch but with 50 marks out of 125 . I cannot tell your rank beacuse it always fluctuate like if you have 100 marks then possiblity from seeing year is you can get rank above 4 thousnad. This Year it all depends on the cutt off list . The tentative dates for the results is 8 July .
