Hello,
If you have qualified in VIT exam but did not attend the counselling, then you may not get admission through the regular counselling process.
However, you can try for spot admission (if available) later, depending on seat availability. You can also contact the VIT admission office for more clarity.
Hope it helps !
You have three options: SIT Pune (Electronics and Telecommunication), MIT-WPU Pune (Electronics and Communication), and VIT Pune (Computer Science through management quota).
If your main goal is good placement and overall personality development, then VIT Pune is the best choice. It offers strong placements in software and IT companies. Even if you are joining through management quota, you will get the same placement chances as other students.
MIT-WPU Pune is also good. It has a modern campus and helps students build communication and soft skills. But placements in the core ECE field are less. Most students go for IT jobs.
SIT Pune is fine too, but it has fewer placement opportunities compared to the other two colleges. It is better if you do not get the other options.
So, if you want a career in software and good placements, go with VIT Pune. If you prefer a balanced college life with decent placements, MIT-WPU is a good option.
Hello,
Holding a rank of 34,378 in AP EAMCET 2025 within the SC category, you possess a reasonable opportunity to gain admission to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program at VIT-AP (Vellore Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh campus). VIT carries out its admission process mainly via VITEEE, but it also provides seats through AP EAMCET counselling for a restricted number of places under the state quota. In past years, the cutoff ranks for CSE at VIT-AP for SC category candidates have ranged from 40,000 to 45,000, influenced by seat availability and the level of competition each year.
As your rank falls within that range, you should certainly engage in the counselling process and carefully specify your preferences. To enhance your prospects, you could also think about choosing associated fields such as CSE with specializations (AI/ML, Data Science) or IT if core CSE appears to be competitive. Monitor counselling rounds and trends in cut-offs as they develop.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hello Aspirant,
With a BITSAT score of 172 and SRMJEEE Phase 2 rank of 14,110, securing top branches like CSE at BITS Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad is unlikely, as their cutoffs are much higher (around 240–270+ for lesser-known branches). Similarly, SRM KTR campus for CSE closes within ~2,000–5,000 rank, so core branches at SRM KTR may not be possible, but Ramapuram or Vadapalani campuses might offer CSE or allied branches.
Now, comparing your other two options:
VIT Bhopal
Part of the reputed VIT group.
Newer campus but decent infrastructure.
Better academic reputation than CU.
Good placements mainly for CSE/IT streams.
Chandigarh University (CU):
Known for aggressive placement marketing.
Good exposure, foreign tie-ups, and more affordable for North Indian students.
Decent placement packages for CSE/AI/ML, but mass placements are often on the lower side.
If you get CSE or CSE-related branches at VIT Bhopal then you take admission at VIT Bhopal.
If not, Chandigarh University is a decent alternative, especially if you’re from North India and want affordability and exposure.
All the best for your admission process.
Hello
Not eligible for the general quota at VIT Pune with 62 percentile.
You could explore management quota (but fees will be steep).
Consider improving your score and reattempting JEE, or apply to other colleges with lower cutoffs.
Hi Mukta,
Both the VIT Vellore and Manipal University Jaipur are excellent in their own branches of CS AI/ML in VIT and CSE in MUJ. However, the difference does exist if we compare further.
You should now decide based on your own preferences, you should also look which one is closer to your home for better reachability.
ALL THE BEST !
Dear candidate ,
With a rank of 12,756 in AP EAMCET 2025 , you are eligible to apply for B . Tech courses at VIT-AP University without appearing for VITEEE . VIT - AP reserves 35 % of its seats for EAMCET candidates , and past cutoffs show that students up to 35,000 rank have secured admission . Your rank is well within the safe range for branches like CSE , ECE , and Mechanical.
If your son’s first preference is CSE, then Amrita Bangalore clearly leads among the three, simply because CSE opens more doors in terms of placements, internships, and future-proof careers. Amrita is also NAAC A++ and has a strong reputation, especially for CSE. Category 2 is also manageable fee-wise compared to higher categories.
VIT Chennai is a decent campus, and their ECE program is solid, but Category 5 means much higher fees and very low chance of branch upgrade later. CSE at VIT Chennai would have been more competitive here — but ECE at that fee tier is not as strong a deal unless your son has a strong interest in core electronics.
Manipal Bangalore (MIT Bengaluru campus) is a newer campus. ECE there is still developing in terms of placements and faculty compared to the main Manipal campus. Unless your son strongly prefers Bangalore or is getting some advantage here like scholarships or internship access, it doesn't stand out above Amrita.
So, recommendation: Go with Amrita Bangalore CSE (Category 2). It balances a strong branch with a decent campus and better long-term potential in the tech industry. If your son is open to core electronics and you’re okay with the higher cost, VIT Chennai is fine, but still comes second to CSE at Amrita.
All the best!
The infrastructure of our college is excellent with a big campus for the students to explore. Hostel facilities and canteen is really good but the food should be more hygienically made with care. It also has well designed gyms, sports area, libraries and laboratories.
Academic buildings are good, classrooms are large to accomodate lots of students, labs are ac and well equipped. Hostel facilities are good ranging from 1-6 bed ac/non-ac rooms with wifi service. Mess food is decent with good variety. Laundry and transport services are available on campus. Sports facilities, gym, library, etc are available.
VIT Vellore’s M.Tech Biotech has awesome infrastructure. Labs got latest equipment like PCR, bioreactors, makes practicals smooth. Library huge, tons of books, fast wifi. AC classrooms with smart boards. Hostels clean, but summer water shortage. Mess food okay, sports ground big.
