The infrastructure is excellent. The classroom, laboratories, sports centres are well equipped. There is a gym inside every girls' hostel. The girls have to share rooms but the boys don't have to after the 2nd year.
The course structure is good but very few course subjects are taught in-depth. The CBCS course curriculum is introduced which is up to date. There is no choice for elective subjects. But some teachers are very helpful and ready to clear doubts
It depends on your branch. For CS IT, the placement opportunities are quite good. maths and computing students are not allowed to sit for every company which visits the college till now. placement offers are overall decent.
amazing .
Infrastructure of the college is very good and Hygienic. It has all the equipment from smart classes to ACs and a dedicated language lab. Central library along with department library with cyber library.
Faculty and teaching is very good. I studied MBA with dual specialization. The curriculum is updated and so is the teaching methodology. They provide you with the latest case studies to match the industry.
Average placement ranges between 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs. Most of the students were placed, to be precise around 90%. College was supportive in the placement process but mostly banks and NBFC came for the placement drive.
3.5 lakhs per year. Total course cost along with hostel and mess costs around 7 lakhs for both years. ROI is good as you can get highest placement of around 8 lakhs per annum with investment of mere 7 lakhs.
Campus Life is good. Best part is the campus location and Greenery all around. Students can emgage in sports as well as intercollege activities. The staff and teachers are very supportive. It has a dedicated Dispensery with highly qualified doctors and support staff.
Overall it is one of the best Management institute in Eastern India with latest curriculum and facilities. You get the best Teaching faculty with all the latest amenities along with co curricular activities.
The college infra is pretty decent, the teachers are helpful, the gyms and labs are also well equipped, tho the teachers still tend to use old and tedious method of teaching like using a green board, and they shouldn't fret from using modern tech.
I m currently in 3rd year of chemical engineering in Birla Institute Of Technology, Mesra, the quality of teaching is kinda monotonous which sometimes makes things boring ?, and the curriculum being taught is also outdated.
Chemical engineering students have kinda average placements, where only 50 percent of the kids gets placed, the rest CSE and IT branch have pretty decent placement with most guys getting decent packages.
Nope, the course fee is too high compared to the quality we get.
Online classes ruined my campus life, still if u are albe to live it then well and good.
Birla Institute of Technology,Mesra is completely residential with 11 hostels for boys and 3 for girls. All student lodging houses are spacious and beautifully laid out amidst a lot of greenery. The entertainment hall in each hostel has a color television set. The hostels are a hub of leisure activities. The 'Hostel Night' organized by resident students is a memorable yearly event where students interact with the faculty members amidst cultural programs and lot of fun in a shared mood of festivity
The teacher always tried to clear the doubts of students in their subjects. In my department teachers are a little bit strict because they always tried that students can gain a good understanding of the subject. From the past two years, the college introduced the CBCS curriculum. The curriculum is up to date and includes the CBCS curriculum . The curriculum is up to date and includes all recent developments. Professors are very friendly with the students and are always there to help.
Placements offers are overall very good. So many good companies visit. The average package is also good. placement percentage is almost 100 for all branches. The placements of BIT Mesra are far better than other GFTI's.
According to my course, I feel the fee is alright. Money is valued a lot. They will not leave a paisa even. But the thing is such a good college and getting all the facilities is like paisa wasul thing And its green and woody environment pays all the money back.
Campus life is quite amazing in college. The college has a huge sports complex of 25 acres with the facility of nearly all sports, together with a fully equipped multi-gym. In addition to that, every hostel has its own playground and mess facility. Campus life is just like heaven.
Overall, I love the college and my campus, BEST.
There is so much greenery and the environment is filled with fresh air. The classes are also well ventilated and spacious with smart boards. Not just the departmental buildings of different department but even multiple cafe and sports complex and transport office are built. There are different bus stops made at different points of the college. The campus and hostels have wifi. Hostel is a bit non hygienic at some times and the water and food are somewhat ok
Our professors are really great at their work. Though in my department that is pharmacy I feel there are some cons that as doing practicals is very important for us, we don't have all the equipments at all the time. Otherwise the teachers are really hepful. We are always welcome to ask questions and doubts to them. We have an updated curriculum and if performed properly, it makes us job ready. We are sent to attend some conferences in different cities too organized by pharmacy council.
Quality of placement is not that good. We don't have much options for our department. Many students apply for GPAT AND NIPER . The highest salary package offered that I know about is 14K per annum. Though there are not much placement option but still our college and professors are really supportive and always help us find internships and recommendation .
My course cost me around 3 lac per year. I don't feel the way the college is taking fees, it is in same way worth it. I agree we have all the facilities required but lack of equipments in laboratories, Hostels not properly hygienic specially the washrooms are not acceptable when paying such large amount of fees.
Campus life is just wonderful and can't complain about it at all.
My college have the best infrastructure which is beautiful inside out. Classrooms have ac and also proper bench table arranged with perfect lighting. Laboratories have every essential equipments and library provides all important books. Hostels maintain proper hygiene and they provide us good food. They give us free wifi.
The reason to choose Bit mesra for graduation was the way professors teach. They are too friendly and guide the students whenever needed. Yes The curriculum is updates and includes every recent developments in field. Yes my couse will make my job easy.
My college has quite good placements . Many of my seniors have got good placements and i am hoping the same for me and my friends as well. They offer handsome salary and is plesant for me. Yes it was a lot
According to my course i feel fees is allright.
I have the best campus life. My college is located in outskirts of Ranchi and has the most pleasant views. It all full of nature and that's what makes it soothing and best. It is absolutely safe because of tight security.
It is a perfect college for graduation .
The overall campus has many facilities like free Wi-Fi facilities and LAN. Infrastructure and campus are the main attraction of the college.Labs are very old ,have limited equipments in there. The library is good and vast, and all sorts of books are available over there . Comparatively,Boys hotels are good and bogger as compared to girls' is high. The sports complex is good, but the equipments are not as such available over there.
Mostly the professors are well experienced and are very knowledgeable and they guide us for all our doubts. The classes are held on a regular basis and 75% attendance is compulsory for all the students. Assignments are also given at regular interval of time.
For my branch the placement is good,70% students are easily placed and top 20% gets a really high placement package. Students are also prepared by mock test papers and regular guidance by the placement cell of the college.
It is worth the value but a little expensive I would say. But after coming to the college you will not regret.
You will experience an amazing journey of the hostel life and enjoy the college fests.
I had a very good experience in this college.
OUR COLLEGE HAS VERY GOOD INFRASTRUCTURE .OUR CAMPUS IS OF 900 ACRES AND HAS GOOD FACILITIES OF SPORTS.IT HAS HUGE GREEN CAMPUS WITH ALL THE BASIC FACILITIES LIKE INTERNET CANTEEN AND SPORTS COMPLEX. WE HAVE 24x7 MEDICAL FACILITES IN OUR CAMPUS.
HIGHLY QUALIFIED PROFESSORS ARE THERE IN EVERY DEPARTMENT OF OUR COLLEGE. ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE COURSE DOES NOT FOCUS ON THE JOBS . IT FOLLOWS THE OLD INDIAN CIRRICULUM ,WHICH IS COMMON IN EVERY COLLEGE OF OUR COUNTRY.
OUR COLLEGE HAS VERY GOOD PLACEMENT RECORDS WITH AN OVERALL AVERAGE OF 12LPA WHERE THE AVERAGE OF CS AND IT BRANCHES ARE MORE THAN 18LPA AND OF CIRCUITAL BRANCH IS NEAR 14 LPA. THE PLACEMENT IS NOT GOOD FOR LOWER BRANCHES LIKE BIOTECHNOLOGY AND CHEMICAL.
THE COLLEGE IS VALUE FOR MONEY IF YOU ARE IN TOP BRANCHES. FOR LOWER BRANCHES OPPERTUNITITES ARE VERY LESS .
BIT Mesra has a well equipped in infrastructure along with free Wifi and LAN in the campus as well as in the hostel. Also the professors use smart board during lectures. The classroom has both green board and smart board. The furnitures are also good.
I am pursuing Electrical and Electronics engineering. The teaching process of the college is good. And we get regular assignments and in my branch the professors are regular and punctual, even in online session.
My seniors have secured good placement in big companies and an average package of 8-9 lakh is expected. During this pandemic may be the situation has changed a little bit but not much.Last year the on campus drive let many of my seniors get placement into TATA group of companies.
My this semester fees is 148000. The course will cost you around 1.5 lakh per semester and approx 13-14 lakhs. It is a bit higher as compared to IITs.I feel it is worth it if at the end we could secure a high package placement.
You will like the campus,it is full of greenary and the campus is huge. Also the campus has free Wifi. The campus is safe enough to roam around and security is also good.
Overall,I love the college and my campus.
Since the college is situated at lalpur not ormanjhi which is the main campus, it lacks infrastructure. It has two buildings one in which classroom are there and another where there is office. Both the building are 1 floor building. Overall it is below average in terms of infrastructure.
The college offers BBA, BCA, MBA. Since I was studying BBA there, I can say academics are above average. Most of the learnings are theoretical. Curriculum is updated with courses which are necessary in today's scenario.
For BBA, BCA there is not such great placement. People generally go for MBA after BBA so college doesn't call much company for placement. Compay like godrej, plenet sparx, Wipro came this year for BBA students. Godrej comes every year. Average salary for BBA students is around 4lpa. Highest is around 6lpa.
BBA fee is around 4 lakhs. And placement is around 3 to 4lpa. It's not great but above average in terms of ROI
Campus life is okish. There is one place where people chill i.e parking area. There are various societies where students can participate or engage. Since the college is situated at lalpur which is the Herat of Ranchi students can chill outside college and there is always hustle and bustle outside college. Most of the facilities are really helpful and support students in whichever ways possible.
Don't forget to carry your I'd card the guards check every day.

With a JEE Main rank of 93,115, getting admission into BIT Patna through JoSAA may be difficult, as closing ranks are usually lower.
However, there are alternative pathways you might consider:
1. CSAB Special Round Counselling – This gives you another chance after JoSAA. Cutoffs are often more relaxed here.
2. State Quota and Category Reservations – If you're eligible under OBC, SC, ST, or EWS, your chances improve.
3. Alternative Institutions – Consider other good colleges that accept your rank.
Next Steps:
Participate in CSAB Special Rounds
Monitor Cutoff Trends

Feel free to ask if you need assistance.
Hi,
With 65% in 12th and 90 percentile in JEE , your chances for admission at BIT Patna depend on the program:
For B.Tech : You need at least 75% in Class 12 (for general category). Since you have 65%, you might not meet the eligibility for general category, but you do for SC/ST/PwD.
For BBA/BCA : You meet the eligibility with your 65%.
For B.Tech, you’ll need to check if your category allows flexibility. Stay updated with the JoSAA/CSAB counselling dates.
Hope this helps!
