I have got 70 percentile in jee mains, I have obc as well as delhi qouta can i get any dtu?

With 70% in mains you would have a 2 lakh+ rank. Even having a Delhi domicile you won't be able to get admission in DTU as DTU is one if the best engineering college in Delhi hence it's cutoffs are not very high than NITs, even for a student of Delhi region it needs a rank below 20k to get the top branches in DTU and for the branches like bio-engineering amd environmental engineering you need to have a rank below 35k. So there's no chance for your this time, better luck next time.

Hello dear,

According to your percentile in jee mains your general rank will be approximately close to 2,00,000 and with this percentile you will not able to qualify jee mains as it is expected that the cutoff percentile for general category will 85,so the chances are very less to become eligible for jee advanced.

Yes,there are chances of getting for you to get seat in Delhi Technical university Technology.As you mention you are delhi residental candidate and with 155 marks you may get electronics or some lower branch. As for core branches like computer science and information technology chances are very low for you .

Try your luck durinng counselling ,there might be chances of branch upgradation and you may get some higher branch.

How is delhi state and obc both applied at a time for getting admission in DTU?

Paritosh,

In government colleges like DTU there is reservations for General, OBCS, SC, ST.

In addition to it there is 50% reservations for people of delhi region and 50% reservations for outside delhi region.

In these reservations seats are reserved for GENERAL, OBCS, SC, ST.

FOR EXAMPLE if you are OBC of delhi region then you will get a seat in OBC QUOTA OF Delhi Region .

Another example if you are obc category of UP or some other state. You will get seat under OBC QOUTA OF OUTSIDE DELHI REGION.

Your score seems okay but the branch is needed to know the exact situation for getting a seat or not. Maybe you'll get the seat or maybe not.

First of all congratulation for your good score in gate. You can get nsit as per your preferred department. You can also get iiit Hyderabad in VLSI department. But your chances of getting power system in dtu is very low.You can also check your possible college as per your score in careers360 college predictor section for gate.

The library is well furnished with accedmics and reference books and also available to students. Classroom are large and equipped with projects and WiFi and the labs are clean with the necessary equipment for pratical classes.
