Dear student,

Computer science and Engineering is the most sort of engineering branches for the students in the current scenario. It's also the highest paying engineering branches, and provides for work from home, so it provides you with the job security.

In my opinion, you should go for Computer science and engineering because igtdtuw is also a good college.

But the decision will be solely yours. Choose according to your area of intrest and other factors.

You can know more about the this college and branch from here:-

hiii ,

according to my knowledge you can take nit raipur , it will better as compared to nit jalandhar

but you can also take the college nearest to your home town .

for more colleges through jee mains you can use the jee mains college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=JEE-Main-College-Predictor

Firstly you should choose stream on the basis of your interest not on placements and colleges,

Both the colleges being in North India, you will find them head to head on numerous occasions- fests, national level competitions, placements etc.

There will be times when you will interact with each other for assistance, compete against one another.

NIT Kurukshetra may have a slight advantage given the location being closer to Delhi. Also, in terms of placements NITKKR performs slightly better .

However it will depend a lot on which stream you are wanting, your domicile advantage and your personal preferences.

Hello,

You haven't mentioned your state, last year the cut off was as follows for general category to get admission in to Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar in Bio Technology

  • Other state: 49380
  • Home state: 237805

This was the previous year cut off (CRL) in CSAB round 2 counselling. Considering the previous year cut off you don't have chances to get seat in NIT, Jalandhar in Bio Technology if you belong to Punjab. If you belong to any state other than Punjab then you do not have chances to get seat in the preferred institute in Bio Technology.

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off click on the link given below

To know the colleges in which you have chances of getting seat you can use JEE Main college predictor tool using the link below

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-

Closing CRL rank for NIT Jalandhar was :-

  • Textile Technology branch - 91009 (Home state quota)

So you have quite low or almost no chances to get NIT Jalandhar with any of the branches even if you have Home state quota.

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

The preference you should consider is:

  1. NIT Jalandhar, Mechanical
  2. VNIT Nagpur, Chemical
  3. NIT Silchar, Electrical
  4. NIT Srinagar, Electrical
  5. NIT Hamirpur, Mathematics and Computing

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Good luck, hope it helps!!
