Dear candidate........,

Well, basing upon your rank in JEE ADVANCED, you have the chance for getting admission into IIT BHU for dual degree ME. But since you're a general candidate, its better to apply for colleges in your own home state so that the chances of getting admission are high. But still you can give it a try at the time of counseling.

Hope this helps you out........

Best of luck:)

Hi Vishal,

You can change your branch after first year, but only if you score very high GPA(Grades). A few students are able to do it, but for most of them, it is nothing but a trap. Initially everyone is confident that they'll get their branches changed, But all IITs have a rule that only 10% of the students from each branch can change their branches, and the branch's strength they are going into, should not increase beyond 15% of its initial strength, IIT BHU might have somewhat different rule, but all IITs follow this more or less. You are advised, to go to the institute's website, and see the branch change rules, before taking a decision.

Hope it helps.

iit Hyderabad , nit warangal , iit Delhi , iit guwahati these all colleges are best for  btech . You can join any college because these colleges are best for btech . These colleges having experienced faculty and staff . Infrastructure is awesome . So all the colleges are better in my opinion .

Hello Aman,

Without a thought, Dual-Degree is a better option as compared to just B.Tech. B.Tech + M.Tech takes 6 years where Dual-Degree program gives you both degrees in 5 years span. IIT Buvneshwar ranks at number 9 whereas IIT Dhanbad ranks at number 19. So, by these 2 points pursuing Dual-Degree from IIT Bhuvneshwar is a better option as compared that just B.Tech from IIT Dhanbad.

All The Best

Hello,
Congratulations on your rank!
According to 2018 cutoffs, for general category students, the closing rank for five year integrated b.tech+m.tech in Mechanical engineering at IIT BHU for General category students was 4648. So, if we consider last year cutoffs, you have high chances of getting B.tech+M.tech in Mechanical engineering. Please note that this prediction is completely based on 2018 cutoffs. Also, take care of the fact that cutoffs can vary from year to year depending upon factors like number if seats available, number of students appearing for the examination, difficulty level of the paper etc.
All the best.
I hope it helps. For any further queries regarding this, ask me in the comments.

Hello,
You have got a pretty good marks and it will be very easy for you to get IIT with your category.
So with your marks your obc category rank will be around 1100-1200 , and closing rank for ece in iit bhu was around 1200 so with this rank you will get ece in IIT-BHU. But it is not possible to get cse as closing rank is around 400 in obc category. So you can opt for ece.
All the best!!!

Hello Vishal,

If we talk about brand value, then there is no question that IIT is a better brand as compared to IIIT or NIT for that matter.

Now choosing the department depends entirely on your interest in the subject whether you want to pursue higher studies or give competitive exams.

Hi Lokinder!!! Congratulations on your score but I am sorry to inform you that you'll not be able to qualify with your score according to our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-advanced-rank-predictor

So, I would suggest you to go for NITs or private colleges.

Hope it helps.Thank you

Hello Lokinder Singh ,
If you are scoring 75-80 marks in JEE Advanced 2019 by checking with the official answer key then the chances of you getting Mechanical in IIT BHU(Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi is very good .
Hope it helps and all the best for your future endeavors.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of this IIT needs to be improved as far as other IITS are concerned. We will find decent hostels situated on campus. It also has its own mess, which provides decent food. Classrooms are also well-equipped with modern facilities. Here, the library has very limited capacity so it needs to be expanded.
