This course suits a person who wish to be the part of data driven organisation.

Some of the companies who have recruited the students include Walmart Labs, Citicorp, Mckinsey and Company, Flipkart, Wipro, Infosys and the list is endless.

Also the average package is INR Rs 16.10 LPA with the maximum package of INR Rs 29.44 LPA which is good enough.

So it is worth pursuing.

Both IIT Kanpur and IISC Bangalore are well-established and renowned institutes. Comparing these two would not be easy. As per Careers360 ratings, IIT Kanpur has AAAA+ ratings (Very Good) and IISC has AAAAA ratings (exceptional). To give you a better perspective, I would suggest you use Careers360’s “College Compare Tool". The tool will compare both the colleges on different parameters including rank, fee, placements, infrastructure etc. before providing the results.

As IIT Kanpur (Indian Institute of Technology) is the conducting authority of JEE Advanced 2018, Today, they declared JEE Advanced 2018 Mock test. JEE Aspirants can attempt mock test through the official website i.e. jeeadv.ac.in.

Admissions in bs in economics at IIT Kanpur are purely based on your JEE ADVANCE Rank and no prior knowledge in the field of economics.

So, obviously only PCM students who qualify JEE ADVANCE with a good rank are eligible for this programme.

I will tell you the admission procedure for M.Tech in IIT, Kanpur:

• The admission for M.Tech will be conducted on basis of peformance in GATE 2018.
• Although, after qaulifying GATE, candidate have to apply for 2 further procedures.
• You have to first apply at the institute through its application/admission portal.
• Further, you have to apply seperatly through Common Offer Acceptance Portal(COAP) for accepting admission offers.
• The admission procedure takes place through Centralized Counselling for M.Tech(CCMT). 
• Candidates with B.Tech degree from IITs with a CGPA of 8 are considered eligible for direct admissions to M.Tech programmes across IITs.

• The application form are already available from 3rd January 2018 and will be available upto third week of April.
