Hello aspirant,

We all know that there is a reservation based on category for admission in engineering colleges but in West Bengal the case is not same here all the college do not provide reservation for obc category students as only very few college have reservations for obc category students and also some college has reservation for obc category students but that also for them only who belongs to West Bengal that is having home state quota and the same is the case with Jadavpur University, Kolkata it has reservation for obc category in home state quota only and not for the candidate belonging to other states.

I can provide you the previous year cutoffs of Jadavpur University, Kolkata for the Pharmaceutical Technology Branch.

These Opening Ranks (OR) and Closing Ranks (CR) were for the General-TFW category.

In 2016, after the last round-

OR- 3,474 and CR- 4,194

In 2017, after the last round-

OR- 1,894 and CR- 3,026

In 2018, after the last round-

OR- 1,603 and CR- 4,089

Unfortunately, you will NOT be able to get the Pharmacy branch in JU, Kolkata.

See at this you can't be able to get admission in  jadavpur university with this rank. as it is the eminent university in west bengal. however every year cutoff changes. for iem kolkata it may be difficult also. however you have chances for heritage institute of technology and Haldia institute of technology.

 You will be eligible for biotechnology, electronics and instrumentation, civil engineering , chemical engineering, mechanical engineering

In Jadavpur university you may get all other branches except CSE, ECE, IT , EEE, Mech , instrumentation engineering

sorry to say at this score it is not possible to get jadavpur university even for your category. howver you may have chances in other government colleges of west bengal like purulia, murshidabad, engineering and leather technology college kolkata etc. however every year cutoff changes.

Yes, if you appear for JELET examination, you can get admission in Jadavpur University Kolkata in the engineering streams as a lateral entry in the second year of engineering course in various engineering disciplines. That's how the diploma students get into the University.
