It depends you obviously know that you are not getting good colleges and hence you are going for private college btech. If you do btech from a college in your city then you will be near your home that in itself is an advantage moreover since you are not getting a good college so you do not have an advantage in either lpu or a college in your city, lastly talking about scholarship that you are getting then it does not make any sense as even after scholarship your lpu fee would most probably exceed the fee of a college (private) in your city hence it is better to stay near your home and work on your skills.

LPU would be a better option to opt CSE because LPU provides a better quality of education as well as placements to the students.

Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology UG Programmes at LPU have been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs with a strong grounding in accounting and finance. The avid performers were given a placement offer of 5 LPA and 24 more were selected for internship opportunities at Bosch. Fourteen of our young achievers bagged placement offers in one of the top-notch product based company [Amazon] equaling a package of 6 LPA. They got the offer post a grueling series of rounds in which their algorithmic skills were put to test. VMware Inc. a subsidiary of Dell Technologies providing cloud computing and platform virtualization software and services selected 9 of our students for a placement offer worth 9.12 LPA. LPU students Mr. Karampuri Vivek, Mr. Manish Tolani and Mr. Ashish Kaktan of School of Computer Science and Engineering are placed in Amazon at the package of 28LPA for their expertise in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Also, recently one of the LPU student Tanya Arora has bagged a placement offer of 42 Lakh p.a. from Microsoft.

As per the recent ranking by NIRF, LPU has marked itself among Top 100 Best universities beating it up with IIT and NIT as well.

Yes surely we can compare that's in our hands. But IIT Bombay is way better in almost all the aspect than most of the other graduation and post graduation offering universities. Specially when it comes to placements, IIT Bombay has probably the top placements in the country. Teaching wise, opportunities wise, and even infrastructure wise IIT BOMBAY is way ahead than most of the colleges. .similarly cutoffs to get into IIT BOMBAY are also much higher and you need to be on the top to get a seat.
