Lovely Professional University has a great name in North India but College of Engineering, Roorkee is also a good college.

Differentiation between the two colleges are as follows:

1. Fees- Total fees of B. Tech CSE in LPU is INR 8.16 Lakhs whereas in Rookee College of Engineering it is INR 4.05 Lakhs. Therefore, COER has lower fees than LPU.
2. Placement- Median package salary in LPU is INR 3.6 Lakhs and highest salary is 42 Lakhs whereas Median salary offered by COER is INR 4 Lakhs and highest salary is 16 Lakhs.
3. Top recruiters- Companies like Amazon, HCL , TCS, Cognizant, Hindustan Unilever, etc. are top recruiters in LPU whereas in COER, companies like  Birla types, Tech Mahindra, etc. are top recruiters.
4. Infrastructure- LPU has a better infrastructure and more facilities than COER.

Admission in Btech CSE in LPU is done through JEE Main and LPUNEST whereas in COER through JEE Main, counselling done by Uttarakhand Technical University.

Furthermore, if you are interested in government services or pursuing post graduation after BTech then you can go for COER but if you are planning for GRE then you can go for LPU.

Yes, Lovely Professional University considers NATA exam for admission in its B.Arch. course. The eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English and Maths)  or Diploma in any stream (3 years) recognized by Central/State Govt. with Mathematics as a compulsory subject or equivalent, subject to qualifying marks as per NATA or JEE Main Paper-II (74 marks)  or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/State Governments. 

For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided that the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.
