Since you have got 3161 rank which is pretty good, you have great chances of getting the top branches.

Try to prefer Hons degree or Dual degree courses in any specilization you are interested in.

Last year, the LPU NEST cutoff 2018 for B.Tech courses was 30%. Those aspirants who have ranked lower than the minimum qualifying marks of a particular category will not be eligible for admission. Several factors will be determined while calculating LPU NEST cutoff 2018 such as the exam’s difficulty level, number of candidates appeared and total number of seats.

Also if you have got 120+ score there are good chances for you to get any stream,

Yeah definitely you can get admission in lpu. Rest lpu is a private university it offers admission to everyone. 

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (any stream) with English or equivalent, subject to valid score in LPUNEST or CLAT or LSAT
OR 
In case marks scored in 10+2 are 90% or above, then LPUNEST will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

(5% relaxation for SC/ST Applicants)

For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.
