Dear Sahil,

As you have already mentioned in your query , that as per your rank.. you are little closer to the cut off because according to previous year database , the closing rank for HS category in NIT Kurukshetra is 4574.(For ECE branch)

But , you may easily get EE, Civil, Mechanical etc core branches with your sc rank in this NIT.

Well, you always need to remember that every  year's cutoff of JEE MAIN for any NITs, IIITs or GFTIs depends on some following factors :

  • No of Students appeared for exam
  • Seat Matrix
  • Difficulty level  of exam

So, you may predict your chance of admission in your preferred institute provisionally .

If you want to find other NIT or IIIT colleges through your rank, you may refer to this link:

Hope this helps !

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing SC rank was 7464 for Civil Engineering branch in NIT Kurukshetra for female under Other state quota for SC category.

Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main  score at least 90+ marks out of 300 and percentile against this should be around 91+.

Hey Aspirant,

Both the college NIT kurukshetra (IT) and DTU(MCE) are really good. But as far as crowd / exposure is concerned I think NIT kurukshetra is far better from DTU . You get a really good crowd , each of them are top rankers . Also you get more opportunities to showcase your other talents and present your ideas through various events that are arranged. Now coming to Placement NIT krukshetra (IT) has Placement rate of 92% with Average Package of 10.9 lacs per annum and Highest Package of 43.2 lakhs per annum. While DTU (MCE ) has Placement rate of 85% with Highest Package of 40 lakhs. So I believe you should go for NIT Kurukshetra.

I Hope this helps!!

hi,

see NIT kurukshetra  sanctioned intake of MBA  programme for 2021-2023 is 53.

the seat would allotted based on entrance score and Performance in GD AND PI round.

Candidates must have valid score in CAT/CMAT/MAT or any other National level test . so the marks distribution for selection criteria is as follows:

Valid Score of 2020 & 2021 - 70 marks

Performance in GD & PI -  30 marks

so it does not matter which of the entrance test you would perform, your overall academic, score in entrance test would be high. cutoff score varies every year and depends on the major factors like number of applicant, seat matrix, students profile, no of applicant from any particular category etc. however there is no cutoff data disclosed by respected NIT admission authority in official site.

you may try to connect with the senior students in social media sites to get some insights.

hope you get my point.

Hello,

And due to research the NIT kurukshetra OBC cutoff of civili engineering stream is 18000. So you can get admission in OBC category candidate in this NIT college dear. As per the last year percentile vs rank analysis if you have scored 96.98 percentile then your General rank would be around 31000 and obc category rank would be 8400 approximately. With home state quota you may get following branches (NIT Kurukshetra); Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering and if Other State quota is applicable in your case then your chances are of Civil Engineering and Production and Industrial Engineering only.

Placement for Electronics and Communication department of National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra is average among other branches in the institute. Mainly 3 types of companies visits campus for placements- Service Providers, Software related and Core companies.  To help with the placement process for the students, the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra has a preparation and positioning cell.
