Dear student,
I'll do my best to respond to this question.
See, NIT Kurukshetra is one of India's top engineering colleges, and when it comes to top NITs, NIT Kurukshetra is one of the names on the list.
I propose that you visit the college's official website to learn everything there is to know about it.
I've included a link to that webpage below. Please have a look at that page.
https://www.nitkkr.ac.in/
Finally, in response to your inquiry, how excellent is this college for Civil Engineering?
It contains all of the necessary infrastructure for civil engineering, as well as well-equipped labs and the most up-to-date machinery.
When it comes to campus placement, there is a hard truth: Civil engineering has a little disadvantage over fields like Computer Science, Electronics, and Communication. And for this college has no flaws; it is only that market demand is a bit smaller. However, there are many alternative sectors for civil engineering, particularly if you want to study through GATE, as well as many government employment choices.
However, for Civil Engineering, this college maintains a decent placement ratio with firms like as DRDO, CPWD, GMDA, NBCC, NHAI, and CBRI, among others visit this college and it has average package above 6 lakhs per annum for this branch.
I hope this answer helps you.

Hi,
NIT Kurukshetra comes under in one of the recognised NIT’s in India and there are a lot of students who enroll in this college through JEE score to secure there admission in the college, but as you have not mentioned your desired field in which you are looking for admissions so i would like to suggest you that you should definitely go for a try to get admission and there are not a major difference in the rank for general student as well as for the EWS student but ya it definitely helps you in waving your fees and if you want to know your rank you can just easily use a rank predictor where you can get an idea about your rank.
Some of the best courses are:
1. Computer engineering—2525 to 4354
2. Information technology—4540 to 5886
The above ranks are for general category students and it is of Round 1 and it goes upto Round 6 but you will find no major difference in rank and also it vary from year to year.
Thank you..
Hello Aspirant,
If you are seeking admission in B.Tech course offered by NIT Kurukshetra then you have to get it through JOSAA counselling and the reservation certificate of EWS category should be of similar format as available on the official website of JOSAA which you can access through the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/webinfo/File/GetFile?FileId=10&LangId=P
So whether you have Haryana sate EWS certificate or central EWS certificate it should be of similar format as available on the official website of JOSAA.
The same certificate you should upload it during JEE-Main application and If you don't have your reserved category certificate for EWS category right now then you can submit the undertaking which declares that you will submit the original and valid caste certificate later on at the time of admission. You can download the undertaking from the official portal of NTA, for which link is also given below :-
https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/File/GetFile?FileId=5&LangId=P
When you visit on the above link you will find a PDF and on page no.9 there is undertaking format which you have to download and after filling it you have to upload it on the place of category certificate in the JEE-Main 2021 Application form.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

Hi
I am assuming that you belong to general category
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , 44723 was the closing rank for gender neutral for general category for home state in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and it was for Production and Industrial Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
And to get around 44723 rank, you need at least around 96.5 percentile i. e around 110 marks at least as per our rank predictor at
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Hi
With 97.5 percentile
your rank will be around 25575 - 28750 as per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Your obc rank will be around 7000.
Your home state is haryana so you will be eligible for home state quota in NIT Kurukshetra
It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you have chances in following branches in NIT Kurukshetra which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under home state for gender neutral OBC category :-
Civil engineering :- 14007 obc rank
Electrical engineering :- 9233 obc rank
Mechanical engineering :- 10685 obc rank
Production and Industrial Engineering :- 18666 obc rank
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

Hey!
As per the previous years records, and if you are a general category candidate then you will need 35-40 marks to qualify GATE . And to get admission in DTU or NIT Kurukshetra three digit rank is enough. But if you want a good branch such as CSe or ECE/EEE then you will need rank below 600. Overall, you need to score atleast 80+ out of 100.

The academic infrastructure is well-developed, with spacious lecture halls, modern classrooms, and specialized laboratories that support practical learning. Departments like Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering are equipped with advanced labs and workshops, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience alongside theoretical knowledge. The central library is another highlight, housing thousands of books, journals, and e-resources. It remains a hub for research and self-study, with comfortable reading areas and digital facilities
The campus is big and green with the descent with all basic facilities like library, sports complex ,labs.classrooms are good but some hostels are old and need renovation. All over campus is very good.
The infrastructure is quite good and all the classes have access and good lighting and speaker too . There is enough space to walk at night and do jogging . The sports complex is a bit under developed.
