Yes, there is lateral entry .After the successful completion of polytechnic exams, sastra university will conduct a 1 month course in which people who are interested in studying B.tech/diploma( But student should not have any kind of backlog and should have attained 80% or above).

During the last days of course , there will be a test conducted on the subjects learned on that course. Seeing your attendance and performance you will be called for counselling.

There is no branch of Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy in chennai. Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology, and Research Academy is an institution in Tamil Nadu's Thirumalaisamudram village. Shanmugha Arts Science Technology & Research Academy was established in 1984 and is a private college. SASTRA University is approved by UGC and all courses offered by the university are approved too. The SASTRA University will open its online registration forms on 15th July 2022, for the admission in undergraduate program postgraduate program and PhD programs. The last date to fill the application form is 30th August 2022. Admission to all B.Tech programs are based on merit.

*** Admission to the B.Tech. / 5-year Integrated M.Tech. programmes are conducted under the following two streams:

Stream 1 (based on JEE(Mains) score and +2 Marks) for 70% of seats: weghtage is 25% for JEE score and 75% for 10+2 scores.

Stream 2 (based on +2 marks) for 30% of seats.

Hope you are doing great. I think you have not particularly mentioned about the university or institution but the admission dates and process differs from one to other. As in general we have different entrance test for the engineering for admission JEE Mains, different State and university common entrance test.

As an average the Admission procedure for the colleges and universities will start  on range from May and end on August/ September and as soon as the result is available and the counselling starts thereafter you can choose the university which you want to join upon the score of your entrance exam and even on your merit the admissions can be taken by few institutions.

I am assuming that you are talking about admission into BTech courses. The college offers admission into BTech courses through two processes-- one of them is completely based upon the marks obtained intermediate examination and other one is based upon the marks obtained in intermediate examination plus the JEE main percentile which is found out by a specific formula where weightage given to both are in ratio 3:1. The university releases an application form for admission into the same and seat allotment is done on merit basis. The marks and percentage of students are recieved and seat allotment is done on the basis of their preference in accordance to the rank in the merit list. The application forms for the same generally releases in the end of April or May and candidates can fill the form by visiting the official website.

Hi vuddagiri!! Hope you are doing well!! Fees of lovely professional University (LPU) is more than sastra university. Since you have not mentioned the courses whose fees you want to know, I will give a general idea of how much fees and what difference of fees will be there in both the universities. Per semester fees of sastra university is around 70,000 for b.tech and whereas the per semester fees of lpu is 1.5 lacs for b.tech .

The offiicals at SASTRA Deemed University will release the application form of SASTRA University B. Tech Admission 2022 on the official website  www.sastra.edu. SASTRA University offers admission on the basis of class 12th equivalent marks and JEE Main scores. 70% of the total B. Tech admissions will take place on the basis of JEE Main score and the rest 30% on the basis of class 12th marks for SASTRA University B. Tech Admission 2022.
