Between VIT Chennai and sastra university, the option is quite clear to choose sastra university. It is much better college than VIT. Also both the colleges have good infrastructure. Sastra University academics quality is better than VIT. VIT has management quota so if you don't get admission in sastra then you can easily get admission in VIT through management quota. But for management quota you have to pay somw extra money.

Sastra University is an UGC approved and NAAC accredited grade A college which was established in the year 1984 . It offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral degrees in various specializations. The admission for these courses are undertaken through JEE Main, CLAT or GATE examination.

The placement of this university is excellent. The highest package offered is 28 lakh per annum and the average annual salary is around 9 lakh per annum. Companies like Amazon, IBM, TCS and Microsoft visit the campus for recruitment.

The facilities available here includes Library, Laboratories equipped with modern methodologies and machineries, sports, medical center, auditorium , separate hostels for boys and girls, cafeteria and bank/atm.

Electronic and communication engineering is the branch whose scope is increasing in private as well as government sector. Hence for you sastra University can be a better option.

Yes theywill refund thefee that you paid or provided you withdraw your admission on or before the given last date for withdrawal. Theywill return your certificates if you have submitted them. The moneywill givenafter deducting a small amount from the total amount you havepaid to the college...

Academically i'd say both are almost the same in terms.

SASTRA is in middle of the forest. So you can't expect nice places for hanging out and stuff. Even movies places around the college is merely mediocre and play english movies in tamil. So yeah, social life may be at peril, but students always find an alternative and this way they will get closer, make more friends and enjoy in campus. Somehow, you eventually get to indulge yourself in an extra curricular activity like theatre or photography or music. You'll have an amazing time participating in culturals and winning it almost all the time. SASTRA has the best cult team in the state as far as i know. There are many clubs like English lits, drama etc etc!

Will assure a job before leaving the campus. Have an excellent infrastructure and about faculty you can see their profile in https://www.sastra.edu . You will have very good updated info and marks and all of your details in https://www.sastra.edu under parent web interface section. So no point of worry about checking your attendance.

Gives you some confidence about getting a job by having an excellent HR classes from 3rd year onwards. There may be some restrictions during first year but from second year onwards you will see a different sastra.

As Sastra is a deemed university,they keep updating their syllabus! So any graduate from SASTRA will definitely be technically sound!

As you have mentioned that you have secured 770 rank which is a very good rank. But talking about sastra university and of the most demanding branch that is CSE, the competition is very high. So if you could have got rank below 500 then chances would be fair. However cutoffs changes every year depending on various factors. You can search for other colleges as an option or backup.

Sastra University is a very well known university to make yourself skillful.  Modern equipments are upbringing here. Not all classrooms are modernized but the special classes,  seminar rooms,  laboratories are well designed and modified. Basically there is always a procedure to arrange all the necessary things in the time of need.

Sastra University is a eight choice to get best career exposure and learn skils to grow academically.  Sports activities are limited here but good also. The culture in the campus is great and the simple way of living which everyone follows over there is very good to get coached up. The campus is widespread.  In case of academic session then I must say that the faculty section is too good here.  Also the course outcome is very much benefitted. More than 90% place are done here. TCS is very well known to the campus. Beside this microsoft, fredshek are also there.
