The procedures or eligibility of Admission in B.Tech in Thapar University  are :

• For B.E./B.Tech., B.E-MBA Integrated program, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12 ^th .
• Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the JEE Main.
• For admission you have to secured at least 15% aggregate marks (10% for SC/ST candidates) in JEE (Main)-2020.

For Lateral Entry, the candidate must have passed Diploma and must have cleared class 12th with minimum 60% marks.

You have to provide your percentile as last year cutoff of Thapar university was based on percentile. If your percentile is 85.48 you have a chance to get thapar university.

Last year cutoff percentile of Thapar university outside punjab and punjab region respectively

Civil engineering-80.83      69.54

Electrical engineering-89.04.         73.65

However, cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease slightly.

In most universities across india, counselling is conducted after the completion of 12th board exams that year. This usually happens during the months of May and June and colleges begin by July and August.

The cut off marks vary basing on the factors of paper difficulty ,seats available etc for every year.

see, the vacant seat information is not disclosed by the college in official website. if you have any one who is known to you,  are now studying in that particular institute you may ask about the vacant seats. follow the official website for upcoming details.

Last date for PH.D(second semester) in Thapar institute of engineering and technology is 3 December 2019,And offline test will be conducted on 9th December 2019 in Patiala.And result will be out on 12th December. And interview will be conducted on 16th and 17th December.
