According to me branch matters the most. So I think you should go for ece christ University. Because demand and higher education in ece is much more than chemical engineering. If you need to choose between these two only ece is the best option
Greetings to you,
Since you will not complete your engineering from UPTU private college, you won't get any sort of degree from that particular college. Instead, in accordance with your question, you will get your engineering degree from Thapar University as you would complete your engineering from the respective institute only. Good luck.
Hi,
Computer Science and Business Systems are a new launched this year only. So I cannot say anything about the placement records and other statistics about the program. But as it is merger branch so I can surely say that companies with both non-tech backgrounds like JP morgan and Tech Backgrounds (like Wipro and Infosys) will take interest in the students. And according to your question, nothing can be said about its level in comparison with Computer Science Branch
I hope I was able to clear your doubt
Thank You
The choice depends on your personal preference whether you prefer mechanical or electronics and instrumentation. If you are interested in automobiles then you can go for mechanical and if you are interested in electronics and robotics then you can go for EIC. The choice is yours. Hope this helps.
Hey !
As per the latest eligibility conditions for second round of counselling for admission to thapar university , it is mandatory for the candidate to apply for the first round of counselling . However , it is not mandatory for candidate to attend the first round of counselling to be eligible for second round of counselling. Any candidate who fails to attend the counselling process for any round is eligible for the further rounds of counselling.

Hi,
All the branches in Thapar University are very good and the teachers are great too. But as you want to focus on Civil engineering, at your percentile it would be a little difficult to get civil engineering. But I would say that if you want thapar only then go for any branch that you get and you will get three chances in your college days to upgrade your branch. And the chances of upgrading are very high. So you can go for Civil Engineering at that point of time.
I wish you all the best
Thank you
Hi Aatish,
As you may also know that 79.20 is not a great percentile in JEE mains, so their is only slight chance that you get Mechanical Engineering in Thapar University in first in-person counselling. But thapar conducts more counsellings where you are eligible to sit, if you are a student of Thapar and the chance here increases by a major number, so I would suggest you to go for any branch that you get, and keep a good CGPA.
I wish you all the best
Thank you
Many facilities provide by college lab is very good and working well, classroom is very good and library is also provided by college and you can take any book in your course. Many facilities provided in our hostel food is average and canteen is also available in our hostel medical facilities is also available in our hostel.
The coursework is decent, they try to make them familiar with each technology one by one. Classrooms are good, and the campus is big. Hostels are also good but overpriced. The food in the mess is not very good and is also overpriced.
Infrastructure of the college is just okay. Buildings look very old and don’t justify the fees charged. The Labs for our branch are the worst. Wi-Fi connectivity is good overall. The college library is decent. The classrooms are very nice up to 2nd year but after that we will get a normal school type classroom.
