Dear aspirant,

As due to the covid -19 all the colleges even the premier ones saw a dip in the average package of the placements. Still nit jalandhar was good if I consider good nits like kurukshetra which faced only 50% placements in the year 2020.

If I consider the IT branch placements. It is strong in its placements and the average package for the branch is around 11-12L per annum. Companies like microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, cognizant comes for campus recruitments.

As per the faculty is concerned it is a pretty decent one. As this is a government college so you can't expect them to be very good . Sometimes they would get angry for no reason but overall it is a decent faculty and you would have the full support.

Moreover the electronics department faculities are also very awesome ,labs are updated with latest technology and placement scenario is also very good . Average placement goes around 9.2 lakhs per annum .

Joining a PSU will not restrict you to pursue higher education but the thing to worry about here is all about bond period. since this PSU jobs begin with good training they expect there employees to serve the organization with the skills they gained during training for specific amount of time without fail.

So you will be in need to sign a bond while joining a PSU and leaving the organisation before the time mentioned in the bond will be considered against the company norms perhaps by doing so you may be forced to pay high amount of money to the organisation as a fine.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar offers Btech in instrumentation and control engineering. It is a four years long full time undergraduate degree course. Usually the placement for this stream is 90-95% however for the previous year it had dipped to 80% due to the Corona virus global pandemic. The highest salary package offered was 43 LPA by Microsoft and the average package was 8 LPA. The top recruiters include Deloitte, Amazon, Samsung, Microsoft etc. Hope this helps and Good luck

Placements in this branch are pretty decent and the average package stays between 6-6.5L . The overall branch average package is around 8L per annum.

Few streams like textile engineering,production engineering are still grooming and needs to be at a better position considering it to be as a nit. The placements staff and coordinator is very supportive and placements process is also very easy.

Almost 70-80% of the ice branch were placed and generally the job profiles which were offered were from analyst, manager and software developer too.

The placements at nit jalandhar is very encouraging even if i consider the placements for branches like textile engineering, production engineering, chemical.

Considering about the mechanical branch, the jobs profiles offered here are of management engineer trainee, analysts for non core and also for data science profile. The average package for the mechanical branch is around 6.6L. Companies like Tata Steel , vedanta, futures first, Deloitte comes for campus placements.

If we talk about the overall average package then it's around 7L-7.5L per annum. Top recruiters were microsoft,Amazon, samsung.

Yes , NIT Jalandhar is good to pursue M.Tech.in Electronics and Communication Engineering .The duration of the course is 2 years as it is a full time course .It is a PG degree course level . The total fees is approximately INR 2.28Lakh . Total Seat breaks is available for this course is 35-36.

The placement cell of this college is really active and after completion of the course candidates are being recruited by top companies like Adobe ,Axis Bank,Deloitte,Amazon,Hero Moto Corp,Make my trip,Jubilant, Microsoft,Nestle and many more .The salary is also handsome.The median salary is approximately 5.3 lakh .
