Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Hi dear candidate,
The IP University and it's affiliated colleges like VIPS, JIMS, MSIT etc. all have 85% of the seats reserved for Delhi students and the remaining ones are for outsiders which has good amount of competition.
Yes, the IPU reserves seat for outsiders as well but you will need a valid EWS certificate that is issued after 31 March 2025.
BEST REGARDS
First, try for Jagannath International Management School in the first shift. Last year, students with a rank around 2322 got a seat here. Then, you can try for Jagan Institute of Management Studies Rohini in the second shift. Its closing rank was around 2114. Next, consider Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies second shift. Its last year closing rank was around 1019, so you may not get it easily, but you can still keep it in preference in case the cutoffs drop. Finally, you should add Institute of Innovation in Technology and Management second shift. This college had closing ranks up to 5776, so you have a good chance there.
You should list these colleges in order of your preference, giving more importance to evening shift and better colleges first. You can wait for Round 3 also if you don’t get a seat in Round 2.
Hello Pranjal
If you wish to get a cost effective program with a good ROI, with decent salary and government recognized, then YES it is worth it to do MBA from Indraprastha University.
But if you are targeting the highest salaries, the best companies, the best exposure, then NO it is not worth it to do MBA from Indraprastha University.
It all depends upon your preference and future aspects. Want to get the best salaries? Try for the best colleges like IIMs, FMS etc. Want to have a decent package with no tension of student loan? You can try for IPU (main campus).

Dear student,
With a rank of 1553 in IP University's B.Com (Hons) entrance exam, and being from outside Delhi, you should consider prioritizing colleges known for their strong academic reputation and good placement records within the university. The colleges that you can put on your preference list are-
While academic reputation and placements are important, also think about factors like location, infrastructure, and the overall learning environment that suits you best. With your rank, it's likely you'll get admission into most of the colleges on this list. However, prioritize the ones you are most interested in.
Hope it helps!
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, you are eligible for the Delhi State Quota in the GGSIPU MCA admission as you had studied (Class 11 and 12) from Delhi (Kendriya Vidyalaya, JNU Campus) and by virtue of having residency in Delhi is valid for you, you qualify as a Delhi Region candidate as per norms of GGSIPU.
Hello student,
It might cause a minor issue if the name in your online application does not exactly match the documents you submitted. Usually, such mismatches are questioned during the document verification process at the time of admission or counselling. To avoid trouble, it's best to prepare an affidavit stating that both names refer to the same person your mother. You can get this affidavit made through a local notary. Also, keep any supporting documents where your mother's full name is written like Aadhaar card or any school document. If possible, inform the IPU authorities or NIMCET helpdesk in advance and ask for clarification. It's always better to be proactive.
Good luck with your admission!
Hello,
Despite not getting a seat in Round 2, you still have hope. With your OBC rank of 6,670 and women quota rank 3,043, you stand a fair chance in later IPU counselling rounds, especially for colleges like GGSIPU Main Campus. Seats often open up in Round 3 and mop-up rounds, particularly in OBC or women-specific quotas. If City quota or NCC or sports quota applies to your profile too, that improves your chances further. Just stay alert on the IPU portal, check frequently, and be ready to confirm quickly when a seat opens under your category.
Thank you and all the best!
Hello!
f you have freezed your B.Tech CST seat in the third round of GGSIPU counselling it means you have accepted the allotted seat and confirmed that you do not want to participate in further rounds of regular counselling. However yes you can still participate in spot round but to participate in spot round you have to leave your alloted seat that means you will lose your current seat. Then you have to pay fresh fees again for the spot round seat.
Also No upgradation is guaranteed in spot round so if you are 100% sure that you can get a better seat and you are ready to take the risk than you can go for it.
