Hi

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for general  category  closing rank for gender neutral in IIT Bombay was 5976 rank and it was for Chemistry (4 Years, Bachelor of Science)

You can check the same at

But yes,

Cut off / closing rank keeps changing every year depending upon

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee advanced exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) performance of different students in the examination,

-----------) the branch you want,

See if you are wiling to work in a IT sector then if you have the attitude of learning apart from your curriculum then going for Engineering Physics IIT B will give you a better opportunity compared to that of CSE in IIT PALLAKAD. See in IIT B the influence of IT companies and as it is the best of the IIT's so you will get a much more exposure to the field. But for that you need to work hard and have to learn coding skills apart from your curriculum. Now if you have no interest in Engineering Physics then go for IIT Pallakkad CSE that way also you will have the opportunity of a better career ahead.

Hi

Hope you are doing well.

Cgpa or the score is important in screening. Some of the companies would remove the one with lesser cgpa. After the selection, your skills matter most. Also you may lose one opportunity when you couldn't answer the simple questions in the interviews. All the factors matter in placement. Resume is also a very important factor.Evaluation criteria for different companies varies. So you have to go through it and prepare accordingly. Also do strengthen your communication skills.
