Greetings, aspirant!
IIT Bombay is well known for its residential facilities. These hostels are located in Powai, which is away from the busy city, but not so far that students find it difficult to visit the city for various reasons.
The Hostel Coordinating Unit is in charge of handling all matters of concern regarding the hostels. The workforce too falls under the jurisdiction and management of the HCU. The allotment to rooms is random, however, the clubbing of same department students is looked over to ensure efficiency during semester projects and such.
Furniture such as bed, chair, table, cupboard is provided by the hostel. Mattresses, pillows, bedsheets, buckets are to be bought by Students.
The per semester fee for hostels is 59750/- and a one time fee of 5000/- which includes admission fee, grade card, medical examination etc. The deposit fee is 3000/- which brings the grand total at the time of admission to about 67876/- including 126/- for annual insurance premium
Hope this information helps
Best of luck!!
Hi
Unfortunately, no. Even today, students live either in a triple or double sharing room. And the intake of students is only increasing each year, which means space in hostels is decreasing unless new ones are built simultaneously. If there are no space constraints, you might be able to get a single room, but only in the 4th year.

IIT Bombay is one of the most prestigious institutes of India. The program MSc in Applied Statistics and Informatics is offered by IIT Bombay. With respect to Placement and Job opportunities IIT Bombay is one of the leading institutes in India. Companies like Abzooba, Accenture, EXL, EY, Citibank etc under various job profiles.
Dear Aspirant,
Both of the IITs are almost at the comparable level and have same placement opportunities but the alumni network of IIT Bombay is a bit better than that of the IIT Delhi and that is a plus point for the IIT bombay. So if you have to chose between the same branches then go for IIT Bombay, however, if you are getting for example CSE at IIT D and Mech at IIT B then chose the CSE at IIT D.
Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi Sankara
For getting into IITB or IITM CSE, you will have to be in the top 5 of PWD rank list, or nearly 800-2000 in the CRL. This means your score should be over 200 out of 360, based on previous year trends. Please note that this can change with the difficulty of paper, and number of students sitting for the exam.

Hi
You can apply for admission to IITB only once the JEE Advanced results are out, and once the exam is conducted in the first place. If you qualify the exam, you will be supposed to fill up your priorities of different colleges that are offered under JEE Advanced (through JOSAA Counselling).
The campus at IIT Bombay is huge and got modern labs and classrooms. Libraries are full of books and online stuff, high speed internet everywhere. Labs have good equipments for research in computer science. Its nice but sometimes crowded. Hostel rooms are okay, not fancy but clean. Overall, infrastructure help a lot in PhD work.
IIT Bombay offers a spacious campus with modern classrooms and advanced labs and the libraries were equipped however the workload can be intense and the campus can feel crowded during peak hours overall it supports academic excellence with a few challenges
My college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments from both academics and sports activities. It has Hostels for all the students from btech, mtech to phds so we don't have to look for the Pg outside the college.
