Industrial design center is a part of IIT, Bombay.The admission in B.Des is based on UCEED merit.So candidates who qualify in UCEED 2020 can apply through a common application form which will be available in IIT, Bombay admission portal.

see cutoff score changes year to year and it depends on some certain factors like questions difficulty level, seat matrix, your choice of stream , category of candidates etc, however last year the qualifying score of sc candidates was,

Minimum Percentage of Marks in Each Subject- 5,

Minimum Percentage of Aggregate Marks- 17.5

This was the cut off in 2019 for IIT, bombay for SC category

  • Aerospace: 564
  • Chemical: 604
  • Civil: 661
  • CSE: 21
  • EE: 100
  • ME: 250
  • Metallurgy: 1034

Cut off is different for each branch and the cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available.Now you need to score 95 or above percentile to have decent chances.

IIT Bombay offers a variety of courses across Undergraduate, Postgraduate and many more Academic divisions. The course you should be studying depends on your Current Academic Qualification and your aspirations. The closing ranks vary every year.The cut off ranks for IIT Bombay are very high.According to JEE Advanced 2019 the closing ranks for CSE for different categories are given below :

General - 63  (female category rank is 313)

OBC - 37  ( female category rank 122)

EWS - 6 (female category rank is 26)

SC - 21  (female category rank is 105)

ST - 15  (female category rank is 77)

The admission in IIT, Bombay in UG courses is done through JEE Advanced.The merit obtained by the candidate in JEE Advanced will be considered.For this candidate must have passed in 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board.General category candidates must have obtained 75% marks, SC/ST category candidates must have obtained 65% marks.

hi,

iit bombay is one of the best institute in india, there is very few colleges in india which offers aerospace engineering or aeronautical engineering, since in iits lab technology and syllabus is updated with time,students can do experimental works, projects and may get collaboration from mncs for final year projects. at the end of btech course , most of the students get placed or go for ms courses in abroad university.

It is not hidden from anyone about IIT Bombay and its extraordinary infrastructure, the hostels, the departments, the convocation hall, the auditoriums, the playgrounds, the student activity centre, and what not, everything is just fab. Our campus has 24*7 WiFi. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) was ranked 118th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings.

Hostels here great to live in. The hostel experience is really memorable for any student. All hostels have 24*7 Wi-Fi access and connectivity. Hostel mess food is also far then that of the other college. Also, the hostels are quite safe and secure from the perspective of a girl students.
