Mechanical engineering department is one of the biggest and oldest department of IIT DELHI. The Department aims to produce quality professionals in Mechanical Engineering to compete globally and excel by carrying out basic and applied research in emerging areas through strong industry. The percentage of placements is good. In the mechanical engineering branch, the lowest and the highest salary package depends on the batch of that year, and the average salary package offered is between 15-20 LPA, which is good enough for beginners.
IIT Delhi offers MBA in different specializations. It’s a decent college to kick-off your management journey. For 2019 batch, 100% placements were reported with a batch strength of 112. The highest package offered was Rs 32 Lakh and the average package stood at Rs 18.47 Lakh.
Hello ashisheeeeee , Yes the scope of mechanical engineering is increased in IIT Delhi it is in the list of top 3 mechanical college of India and its average package for mechanical is approx. 9 lakh per annum and highest was 45 lakh per annum. And the placement % is increased in 2019-20 by 4%.
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
Dear Aspirant,
Yes definitely you will get a job from college. As it is a IIT thats for sure you will get a job from the college placements if you have that sorts of skill that the company wants. After getting jobs in placements, IITians are offered a CTC ( i.e. cost to company). So, if two students get 10 lakh ctc, it doesn't mean they will get same salary in hand at the end of month.
Also only 10–20% companies offers core job, mostly have non core profile.
Approximately 85% students get placements every year. The highest package was 45 LPA, the lowest package was 6.5 LPA and average package was approximately 8.5 to 9 LPA.
Hope it helps !!!
Dear Student,
IIT Delhi campus is good for Mechanical Engineering. The placements in this college for ME branch are very nice. The percentage of placements is nearly 90%.
The highest package goes here was around 40 lakhs whereas the average salary package goe s from 10-15 lakhs and above. Students got a job in companies like Maruti , Infosys , Samsung, Honda etc. Also the packages are good.
Now coming to the point that whether you will get placement or not , so we can't tell exactly about it.But for good placement you have to work hard. You must have skills and determined to your work. Also you can ask your seniors about the placement part. This will helps you a lot .You can ask them about the most asked topics in placement session. So meet them must .
Hope this helps.
Hello Ravi Kumar,
I can understand your confusion since all are good institutes for pursuing Aerospace Engineering.
Yes, IITK has an airstrip and a hangar equipped with 4/5 gliders. You can go in anytime and see those gliders. There is one whose skin has been ripped off so that you can see the structural arrangements of the glider. You get to have joy rides as well.
I cannot compare the research facilities of IITR ,IITR ,IIST and IITK ,since I don’t have complete information about IITM. Besides, it would be unjust to compare the research facilities since both institutions have focus on different areas of research.
I hope it helps you.
