Hello student. Electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, both of them are totally different branches. Choose where your interest lies in.
Electrical engineering is the branch that deals with wires, electricity, boards, generation and transmission, distribution of electric power. Whereas mechanical engineering is a branch that deals with machinery like lathe, drilling machines and working parts such as screwdrivers etc.
So which is better depends on your choice. But when it comes to college, IIT bombay is better than Delhi. Here are the factors to consider:
Here are the other factors to consider this college:
Infrastructure and college life:
IIT bombay has a wonderful infrastructure with well equipped labs and classrooms. Hostels are pretty decent and nice environment is always maintained. You can see that the campus life is going to be really well. College life is good with the right kind of atmosphere given to the students who come from different places.
F culty and quality of education:
All the faculties are well qualified and experienced over here. And education, curriculum is made in such a way that students are made to acquire more hands on knowledge than just the theory. It is not just the books and classes. Focuses more on practical knowledge than the theoretical one. Education quality and the way guidance is given is really good.
Placements:
Placements are really good as many good companies visit this college. Most of the students gets placed and opportunities of internship is provided to the students from wide range of companies.
According to our website,It is a very good rated one.
Hello Aspirant,
Placements: Around 80-85% of students got placed in this course from IIT Delhi. The highest salary package offered was about 75 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA - 8 LPA. An average salary package offered was 20 LPA. The average salary offer received by graduates of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) is Rs11. 1 lakhs (around $16,000) per annum, nearly 140% higher than the Rs4. 7 lakhs that entry-level engineers make in the country, a research by online assessments platform Mettl said.
There will be same demand of mechanical engineering after four years also and may be increase in demand due to advance era.
Feel free to ask any questions.
All the best for your future
Hello Isha!
As of these branches are considered, I would suggest Civil Engineering. Civil Engineering is one of the core engineering branches and the placement record is definitely better than environmental branches. Job opportunities are very less for environmental branch out in the industry. Since IIT Delhi is an excellent college to study, it is a safer option also.
Hello mukul,
Hope you're doing well.
Both of these institutions are highly renowned, respected and prestigious. It actually depends on what you're interested in- engineering physics or civil engineering. I'll highlight some of the key points of difference:

Hello sir
It is a bit hard to predict your entry level designation and salary (for me )as it varies a lot (seriously a lot) from institute to institute . I will recommend you to make your cv or register on some job providing websites like naukari .Com ,indeed job search ,internshala ,and many more good ones and then you may be able to filter out some jobs and be able to get your designation and salary details .
Hello Sir,
The entry level positions in human resource field are staffing coordinator or specialist, recruitment associate,HR assistant, HR associate and HR admin. The starting salary would be from 10K to 15K but you can it will increase as you gain experience and go up the hr job hierarchy. Since your age is above the normal limit that too without prior experience, you may face difficulties. But opportunities are there and you may have to keep trying a little harder than a usual fresher. Use job networking sites like linkedin to connect with various recruiters or HR officials and present yourself confidently . Try learning or mastering extra technological skills and be up to date with it since you are competing with youngsters and you don't want to show you have another minus point .
All the best
