See , at present we cannot say how much marks one needs for getting this stream said above in IIT Madras, as the exam has not been conducted ,also the cutoffs has not been released.

However, as per previous trends the Cutoff rank for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering were as follows(For SC).

In 2019- 1712

In 2018 - 1582

In 2017 - 1489

This means that your Marks in SC Merit List should be around 65-80 to Get into IIT Madras in Ocean Engg. and Naval Architecture (as per 2018)

Hope you are doing well! IIT Madras selects candidates based on their JEE advanced score and the ranks primarily. These ranks keep varying every year. Also another important factor of consideration is your category. Based on your category the closing rank would vary. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will declare the cut offs of individual colleges and the courses in their official website.

IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur both are one of the top colleges in India to pursue engineering. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering are two of the three oldest branches of engineering in India. Pursuing B.Tech in either of them have different scopes. Both branches have a vast scope in government sectors, whereas Electrical Engineering has a one-inch upper hand than Mechanical Engineering in the Private sector.

So, I will suggest you go for either of the options. But solely on your interest and passion rather than any other stats.

now, coming to the point of covering your syllabus, see you have to start preparing for the exams again, you have to start again, it doesn't matter if you study for 2 hrs or 3 hours , start preparing for your topics again. keep increasing your time for studies and side by side take care of your health as well.

Dear aspirant you have secured a very good rank in obc category and depending on your category and home state quota, in nit surathkal you can get almost all branches. If you are a male student and belong to home state, then with your obc category you can easily get chemical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical and materials engineering, mining engineering, electrical and electronics engineering.
Now if you are a female student and belong to home state with the obc category then you can get all the branches mentioned above as well as cse, electronics and communication engineering, and information technology.

  • Past academic performance,
  • Work experience
  • Academic Diversity
  • Gender

as you all know the campus or the infrastructure of iits are very good they have a smart board in each and every class there is a big Auditorium in our college campus with lots other facilities. they are canteen service tothe various types of practical labs and a big library .
