You can get IITs or NITs with your score in Graduation. To get into IITs or NITs  minimum 60 percentage (55 percentage for reservation category candidates) in B.E/ B.Tech from a recognised College or University.

Apart from that you must have valid GATE score to get admission into IITs or NITs.

Dear applicant considering the honest scenario of the inner educational atmosphere of the Colleges unless you get IIM Lucknow, Ahmedabad or Kolkata, it is not that satisfactory to take admission in the other ones. Whereas in case of IITs like IIT Madras, or IIT Kanpur it is way too better than to choose the less preferable IITs. In 2020, the closing rank for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in IIT Madras for the male general category is 7929 and for the female general category is 14212.

In 2019, the closing rank for Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in IIT Madras for the male general category is  6618 and for the female general category is 12924.

So, for this year also you can expect that the closing rank for the male category is going to be around 7000 ranks and for the female category is 13500 rank in JEE.

For getting an admission in BTech Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering you will have to write both papers of Jee Advanced after you have qualified your mains. This is a BTech course so the exam is same as for any other branch of engineering that you undertake at IIT.
