The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VITEEE every year for candidates to seek admission upon clearing the examination. A student cannot seek admission without appearing in the VITEEE and therefore there is no provision for direct admission into VIT.

Lovely Professional University, on the other side, conducts LPUNEST which serves as a gateway to the institution's various courses and also serves as an opportunity to avail scholarship. Students can also seek admission into the college without LPUNEST, on the basis of their Class 12 scores or JEE Mains scores.

go for lovely professional university. They are ranked 52 by NIRF for management  and 5th rank for best private engineering college. They provide best facility and environment to students to learn. They conducts seminars,workshops and competitions in TECHFEST for improvement of students skill.

Placement for the college is also good. the highest package offered by Microsoft was 41lpa and average salary package is 5lpa and lowest is 3lpa.

for 4 years if you will study by learning and understanding. CSE is a very easy branch where the concept are way more easy to implement. this will make your skill grow and getting a job at MNCs and fortune 500 companies will be easy but the key to it is practice. With out practice you won't be able to do it.

I will be blunt with my answer here but it is for your good.

for civil engineering LPU is not a good choice ,it may be good one for CSE ,ECE or MBA but the worst for civil and mechanical engineering

there is no relation between theory and practical knowledge for civil students.

The eligibility criteria for B.tech is as follows:

1. Candidates need to pass with 60% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English.

2. Entrance exam of B.tech in LPU is LPUNEST (which has its own cut-off marks) which the candidate has to be bring.

I assume you are asking about lovely professional university and The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies , among which  would be the right choice to do bachelor of technology course. see both of the institute has excellent infrastructure, college facility like hostels, lab facility, extra curricular activities. you did not mention in which of the stream you want to take admission. but based on placement analysis of the both college I would prefer lpu over upes. there is multiple mncs visits lpu campus and there is many core company for electrical and mechanical engineering, civil engineering visits the campus along with IT companies. so lpu would be the best choice for which ever stream you may take admission.

You have secured a good rank in LPU Entrance exam. There is high possibility that you will get Computer Science Engineering with that rank.

You will get other branches too in all the Lovely Professional University campus. Go and participate in counselling, you will get CSE with that rank.

Lpu is one of the fancy colleges which are available on the education scene. 

although they are a tad bit expensive, they provide a good name and placements are good as well

just kidding

eligibility of any government job after graduation is just graduation.. LPU is also a university providing bachelor degree .so no doubt there will be no problem in applying for any exam or job demanding eligibility criteria a bachelor's degree

so it's totally safe  pursuing B.Tech from any college having registered affiliation with any AICTE approved university (like AKTU.. )including LPU.

so without any worry you can go for it.

but lemme tell you there are some boundations of branch in some of government jobs so excluding those limits( CS students can't give IES by their stream.. maybe for IAS too)... you're eligible for any general degree
