Both are decent private universities with decent placements. But comparatively, Thapar University has got a little edge over LPU because of great education facilities and available faculty. The placements are almost similar. Infrastructure wise again THAPAR University is better. But when it comes to fees, Thapar charges a lot more than LPU for the btech course. THAPAR University is ranked 12 but has a fees of 16 lakhs approximately for the btech course. LPU Phagwara is ranked 35th and has a fees of 10.05 lakhs roughly for the full btech course. As per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the LPU for Bsc Agriculture a candidate who has scored 80% or above in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English,Physics ,Chemistry &either Maths or Biology ot Forestry) OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after  10th,LPUNEST or NEET will be exempted and candidate may apply for admission.

if You have tons of money and want to study in a unique environment then you can go to LPU or if you want to study in a real and average budget then You can opt for DIT dehradun both are about same standard but as the fee matters and good studies DIT is better option

VIT and LPU, both are the top private universities in India. If you consider infrastructure and campus size, you'll find LPU much better than VIT.

But in terms of faculty and placement records, VIT is far ahead than LPU and the NIRF ranking of VIT is also good.

Here is the priority goes among the college from best to good in accordance with quality of teaching and placements
