Hello Bhavya,

With a 90 percentile in JEE B.Arch and belonging to the OBC category, your chances of securing admission to SPA Vijayawada are slim, as the cutoff for OBC candidates typically ranges between 77 and 81 percentile.

However, you have a better chance of getting into some NITs, where the B.Arch cutoff for OBC-NCL candidates generally falls between 70 and 75 percentile.  Institutes like NIT Hamirpur, NIT Patna, and NIT Raipur may be within reach.

It's advisable to participate in the JoSAA counseling process and consider applying to multiple institutes to increase your chances of admission.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Hello Raghu,

With a 94.93 percentile in JEE Main Paper 2 and belonging to the OBC-NCL category, you have a competitive chance of securing admission to the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Vijayawada for the B.Arch program.

Estimated Rank and Category Consideration:

  • Percentile to Rank Conversion: A 94.93 percentile typically corresponds to an All India Rank (AIR) between 10,000 and 15,000 .

  • OBC-NCL Category Advantage: As an OBC-NCL candidate, you benefit from reserved seats, which generally have lower closing ranks compared to the General category.

SPA Vijayawada B.Arch Cutoff Insights:

  • 2024 Cutoffs: According to available data, the closing rank for OBC-NCL candidates in 2024 was around 619 .

  • 2023 Cutoffs: The closing rank for OBC-NCL candidates was approximately 557 .

  • 2025 Expected Cutoffs: Projections suggest that the closing rank for OBC-NCL candidates may range between 302 and 312 .

Conclusion:

Given your 94.93 percentile and OBC-NCL status, it's likely that your estimated rank falls within or near the previous years' closing ranks for OBC-NCL candidates at SPA Vijayawada. This enhances your chances of securing admission. However, admission depends on various factors, including the total number of applicants, seat availability, and the overall difficulty level of the exam in the current year. It's advisable to monitor official announcements and participate in the counseling process to confirm your admission status.

Greetings! Here's a detailed response to your query

Admission to SPA Vijayawada is primarily based on your JEE Main Paper 2 score. Therefore, the cutoff marks for each category, including OBC-NCL, play a significant role. Cutoff marks fluctuate annually depending on factors like the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exam. To get a better idea of your chances, it's essential to examine previous years' cutoff trends for SPA Vijayawada, especially for the OBC-NCL category.

Your OBC-NCL category provides you with certain advantages. However, competition within this category still exists. It is very important to have the required, valid OBC-NCL certification.

Admission to SPA Vijayawada occurs through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. During JoSAA counselling, you'll have the opportunity to indicate your preferences for various colleges and courses. Your rank and category will be considered during the seat allocation process.

It is important to remember that percentile scores are relative, and that the rank that is generated from those scores is what is used in the JoSAA counciling process. Therefore, while your 94.93 percentile is a good score, your actual rank is the most important factor.

I hope this helps.

Hi

hope you doing well

If you score 250+ in JEE Paper 2, you may have a good chance of getting admission to various institutes, including NITs (National Institutes of Technology), SPAs (School of Planning and Architecture), and JJ College of Architecture, especially considering your OBC category status, which typically has a lower cutoff than the General category.

i will give you brief explanation of each type of institute:

For NITs :

  • NITs have specific cutoffs for JEE Paper 2 scores for B.Arch courses. A score above 250 is competitive, especially for OBC candidates, but the actual cutoff varies by NIT and year. You can expect more opportunities in NITs with this score.

SPAs :

  • SPAs also consider JEE Paper 2 scores for admission to their architecture programs. The cutoffs are generally around the same range as NITs, so a score of 250+ should make you a strong candidate, particularly for SPAs in less competitive locations.

JJ College of Architecture :

  • JJ College has a good reputation and typically attracts strong candidates. While the cutoffs can be quite competitive, scoring above 250 in JEE Paper 2 gives you a decent shot at admission, especially if you have a strong portfolio and other credentials.

hope you get it and find it useful

Best wishes.

Hi

hope you doing well

Based on your Jee score of  98.64 percentile your estimated rank would likely be around 1,500 to 2,000. Since you're in the ST category, you may have a better chance of securing admission at institutions with lower cutoffs for that category.

The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) Delhi has had varying cutoffs over the years. Generally, the cutoff for the ST category tends to be lower than for the general category, but specific cutoffs can change annually based on the number of applicants and their performance.

The ST category cutoffs for SPA Delhi for architecture have been around 2,000 to 3,000 ranks, but it can vary.

Follow the official SPA Delhi admissions website or the JOSAA website for real-time updates on seat availability and cutoffs.

Best Wishes.

Hi, Siya

hope you doing well

While having a score of 99.04 percentile in JEE Paper 2A (B.Arch), you have a very strong chance of getting admission to SPA Delhi. However, admissions to Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPAs), including SPA Delhi, depend on various factors:

SPA Delhi has different cutoffs for General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories.

SPAs don't have home state quotas, as they are national institutions. Hence, your admission is purely based on your JEE Paper 2 rank and category.

SPAs don't have home state quotas, as they are national institutions. Hence, your admission is purely based on your JEE Paper 2 rank and category.

If you belong to the General category , you should stand a decent chance, though admission is competitive. For reserved categories, the chances improve further.

Campus Life: 4.2/5

I am absolutely dissatisfied with academics

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is average. The chairs and tables are very old and some of them are broken. The lighting in the classroom is good. The window air-conditioners are also old they just blow air, as long as someone is near to air-conditioner, they will feel it. Else for the size of the classroom, the air-conditioners are not that powerful. The projector is good. Wi-Fi signals are not strong but it works and many useful sites are blocked. There is always construction going on so it's always dusty and loud. The canteens are average to good and prices are high. There is no international food chain company like Dominos, KFC, etc.

Our college was offered the best placements for students

College Infrastructure

There were many Wi-Fi routers available in our college. Best labs and best smart classrooms are provided. There are three libraries available in our college. Even the best facilities are provided for sports. Occasionally every year, many games are organised for students. Our college is the best.

SPA Delhi has the best memorable day

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

The facilities and the infrastructure available to us on our campus are amazing, as they provide us with 24*7 Wi-Fi and electricity, and only this means that our entire college is equipped with cameras, therefore making campus life safe for girls and making it a safe place.
