All the best...!

Hi there!

There is no cutoff in sastra . It solely depends on your rank in sastra's merit list which will be uploaded after a while. For cse the rank must be not more than 500. Only then, u will have a chance.

So wait for the rank list to come.

Hello! Aspirer

Admission to SASTRA is mainly based on the score of the the marks that you have secured in JEE mains as, 70 percentage of seats in SASTRA is filled based on jee mains scored and remaining 30 percentage of seats are to be filled based on the score secured in the final test in 12th standard

As, you have secured 96 percentage of marks in mpc in your intermediate. There is a high chance for you to get a seat in SASTRA

I hope you find this info. Useful.

Best wishes!

Basith, There’s nothing like minimum mark in JEE for admission in SASTRA. The weightage for JEE Main scores and +2 marks will be 25% & 75% respectively. The aggregate JEE Main score and normalized +2 aggregate will be taken together as per the weightage and applicants will be ranked based on the resultant combined score.

For example: If a student secures a JEE Main Score of 185 and normalized +2 aggregate is 95%, the combined score of the student will be (0.25*185) + (0.75*95) = 117.5

The combined score of all students will be used to determine the SASTRA Rank and admission will be based on the SASTRA Rank secured.

Ps: you need to have 100+ of JEE score and 95+ % in 12th as minimum to get into SASTRA under stream 1

As u scored very well in your examinations u may get Sastra university but CS branch may be at risk.. To be very frank as u belong to general category there is certain less chance.. But no worries.... keep trying

All the best

Hope this information is helpful for you.

All the best.

SASTRA Engineering College is a prominent deemed university known for its world class quality in academics  and research. SASTRA allocates seats based on 2 criteria, namely Stream 1 which holds 70% of seats and Stream 2 which holds the rest 30%.

Stream 1:

The weightage for +2 marks and JEE Mains score will be 75% and 25% respectively. The aggregate JEE Mains score and the normalized +2 Score will be taken into account. The normalization process is primarily based on the topper's score. But it may vary accordingly. The amalgamated score of all students will determine SASTRA Rank and the admission will be based on this rank criterion. There is a good chance to  get in if your SASTRA rank is up to 4000.

Stream 2:

30% of seats of each branch are filled through Stream 2. But hoping for this is uncertain.

Since, you have good score in your boards in addition to JEE Mains, you can definitely try at SASTRA. You have adequate chance to get threw in.So, have your precision towards the stream you desire. You'll definitely receive, one of the streams which you've explicitly mentioned above.

Good Luck!

Hello,

Admission in Sastra University for B.Tech 2020 will be done through two streams
Admission in stream 1 will be done based on JEE Main scores along with the 10+2 marks.
In stream 2 only 10+2 or equivalent marks will be considered.
You have got very good marks in 12th boards so in stream 2 you can easily get a course of your choice.
In stream 1 too you have decent chance of getting seat in top 3 courses.

I hope this helps.
