hope this helps.
I would suggest that you go for BE CSE in PSG college of Technology. It would be because PSG is better than SASTRA and also because even after doing B.sc you have to study for masters to land a job. Whereas B.tech is enough to get you a good job.
Now regarding the CS issue. I would like to tell you that even I didn't studied CS in my class 11 and 12 but I applied for CSE in B.tech during my college and you may feel a little disinterested at first same as for me but with your faculty and peers around , it will come around for you. CS has a lot of scope in the market and I would suggest that you pursue it.

Hello,
Congratulations for getting such a high score in intermmediate examination and a decent score in JEE Mains 2019 . From my experience you are eligible for the admission in SASTRA University Thanjavur.

All the best !
No! If you are from other state other than tamilnadu then there is no chance of getting CSE in sastra University. The closing rank in cse for non-local students in thanjavur campus is 500. But you can get ict,it,chemical enginneering and some other branches with your rank.
Good luck!
Sastra Deemed University will offer admission in 2019 under the following two streams:
Through stream 1:
Admissions to 70% of the seats will be made through stream 1 on the basis of JEE Main scores and normalized scores of the 10+2 or equivalent exam.
The 25% weightage will be given to JEE Main scores and the remaining 75% will be given to marks scored in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
Through stream 2:
The remaining 30% of the seats will be filled through stream 2
Only 10+2 (or equivalent) normalized scores will be considered while preparing the rank list of stream 2.
Candidates can apply through both the streams. In case, a candidate has not appeared for JEE Main 2019 exam and has applied for stream 1, the weighted score for the 25% will be considered 0 but the qualifying exam aggregate scores will be given 75% weightage to arrive at the combined score. However, in case of stream 2, the qualifying exam scores will be given 100% weightage.
Hey,
Sastra University is known for its research in chemical engineering but it cannot be compared to IIT or NIT research.
There are core companies like Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Ranbaxy, Manali Petrochemicals, etc.
These are some of the core companies that comes for the placement of chemical engineering students in Sastra University and provides package average salary about 9 lakh per annum.
But around 10 to 15% students of Chemical Engineering only get placed in core companies and rest of the students get placed in the mass recruiter IT companies like TCS, Accenture, etc.
They provide average salary about 3 lakh per annum.
Hope it helps.
Hello Chandrika Sangineedi,
At the Time of counselling you have to submit the following documents
12 th marks sheet original(short memo in case of ap and telengana students)(2 copies )
10 class mark sheet original(2–3copies)
Passport size photo
Your jee mains rank card if you are selected from stream 1(1–2 copies )
Your counselling call letter
Your application form
.
You will be alloted a seat in the university only if you submit your original documents. If you are sure that you are going to join in the university then you can submit original certificates without any hesitation. If you have an idea of choosing any other college you don't have to worry about the documents.Because you will be given a seat allotment letter stating all your original documents submitted once you are alloted a seat in the university. This letter can be produced in any other college's counselling and later if you want to cancel your seat in sastra you can before a particular date and your certificates will be returned.

Thank you and all the best...
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
laboratories for bio tech and other related departments are very good and high tech here. Hostels are non ac full vegetarian, managable. wifi is 24/7 available. the environment is good for studying here.
It's average college, having wifi facilities like high tech laboratory. Bajaj and 5 g labs are there. Each building of department have different own laboratories. Hostels are non ac, but can manage. Wifi is 24/7.
