The infrastructure at Thapar was top-class. From classrooms to hostels, everything was just amazing. Wi-Fi was enabled in the whole campus out there. The college has amazing library in a 5-story building equipped with group discussion rooms, washrooms, and Wi-Fi-enabled centrally air-conditioned rooms.
The teaching quality depend on the teacher but overall, I can say it was above average. And yes, the course curriculum is relevant to the industry standards. There were mid-semester exams and end-semester exams, and they were of a moderately difficult level. If the student has attended the lectures and is disciplined enough, he/she will easily go through the college exams.
In the computer science branch, 100% of the students who sat for placements. The highest package offered to electrical students was around 32 LPA by Optum. The lowest was around 5 LPA and average had to be 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Optum, American Express, Blackrock, ZS Associate, Bajaj, Nestled, Maruti, Deloitte, etc.
For my first year, I lived in hostel J, which had mostly non-air-conditioned rooms. If you want AC rooms in your first year, you have to opt for 3 sitters to 2 sitters in hostels K and H. Every hostel has its own gym, and most gyms have new products as they keep changing from time to time. The food at Hostel J is good; it has adequate spices and is freshly prepared. Talking about classes and libraries, they are some of the best in the whole country. Thapar's library is one of the best in Asia and has an award for best design. The whole campus is good.
A very important role in the facility of particular courses is nice. They make you understand everything according to your wishes, and if you have any sort of problem, you can visit their cabins at any time. The exams are very difficult, and that's the question that they gave you. You can score well in the exams.
According to the recent report, 50/60 students were placed in my course. The highest package for my course is 25 lacs for technical, and the highest package is 45 lacs; the average package offered nowadays is 6–8 lacs. The top recruiting companies are TCL, Apple, Titan, and Amazon. Around 50% of students got internships. Top roles offered basically depend on recruiters .
Good college.
Classrooms have Wi-Fi routers and projectors. library is huge and have lots of books. There are 17 hostels, of which 8 are for girls and rest are for boys. Food quality is good and there is variety of food. You get sweeter everyday. There is a dispensary and a medical shop in the campus. There is badminton court, tennis court, football field, basketball field, cricket field, swimming pool, etc. With coaches.
Teachers are helpful, but their teaching quality is lower. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant, and yes, it makes the study industry ready. It is easy to pass semester exams, even if you put some effort in near two to three days before your exams. The pass percentage is 35%.
There are good opportunities available but you will have to work hard for them as only around 15% of the batch gets offers above 20 LPA. Most of the batch is placed between 12 LPA and 18 LPA, there are many non-teach companies coming. If you work hard enough you will get a good package.
Good placement.
Thapar is has well developed infrastructure. The classrooms have all the facilities that a student could hope for, such as projectors, the use of iPads for written content and even proper air conditioning to maintain the rooms. The CSE department is a special place due to its being made like our brilliant library.
The faculty here are very qualified and possess the necessary skills to teach us what the curriculum holds while also giving us their wisdom and knowledge about the market. The semesters aren't super tough to qualify for, and you can score a decent CGPA if you just know where to study.
A little over 70 percent of the students got it, and the number is still steadily growing. Top recruiting companies, such as MAANG, were among the top visitors and gave great packages to deserving candidates. Several of those placed already had PPOs for their exceptional work in their fields with a company.
Thapar University Patiala has a lush green campus. Strong alumni network that help with placement Opportunities. Very Active and resourceful, college is also involved. Organized & proactive placement process. Alumni network is also at very big Post. Average package for computer is approx 11 LPA.
Hostel infrastructure and facilities are very good as compared to other colleges. The hostels have AC, lighting, and proper toilet systems. The quality of the food is very good. The food is very tasty. Drinks are provided at lunch. Wi-Fi is provided in all hostel rooms.

The placements are very nice and most of the big organizations like Microsoft, Google, Deloitte, Oracle, ZS Associate, IBM, TCS, HCL, Wipro and many more come for campus placements. Average package for computer science and engineering branch goes around 12.5 LPA
The labs and hostels are excellent. The labs are modern and equipped with all modern infrastructure even the instructors are good only the problem is the college will divide you into many batches to accommodate everyone. So you will have to be quick if you want to get a front seat.
The faculty is not that good they will just repeat what is written on the PPTs and will tell you to study them yourself later. The curriculum more or less is same as other colleges. The exams are good level you will have to study to get good grades.
There are good opportunities available but you will have to work hard for them as only around 15% of the batch gets offers above 20 LPA. Most of the batch is placed between 12 LPA and 18 LPA, there are many non-teach companies coming. If you work hard enough you will get a good package.
The course had facilities like Wi-Fi, AC, labs, library, charging points, speakers, ICT boards, etc. Hostel is the best providing 2 seater and single seater rooms with AC and attached bathrooms along with a mess inside every hostel and canteen. There is a gym in every hostel along with a table tennis room, tv room, study rooms, medical services, etc.
The teachers are nice and helpful, but you have to study on your own mainly to understand things. The course curriculum is fine. We have projects and ELC activities. The exams are decent being held twice a year along with lab evaluations. The passing marks are 37/100. We have sessional internals of 10 marks before the end and mid semester exams.
90 percent students were placed. The highest package offered was 40 LPA, the lowest was 4-5 LPA with an average of 7 LPA. Companies like JPMC, Bane, Black Rock and Microsoft visited for hiring. Internships percentage was 40-50 percent in pharma companies and biotech firms like Biocon and JPMC. Top roles offered were that of data analyst, research analyst and in finance.
There are fully AC classrooms and Wi-Fi available in all the classrooms. The college provides hostels and a library. The library is the most beautiful part of the campus and it is very big. In hostel, the mess is sodexo's which is a french company.

Hello,
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Thapar University) offers B.E./B.Tech admissions through two modes:
For B.Tech in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering, admissions consider NEET scores or Class 12 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Thapar University does not conduct a separate entrance exam for these programs.
Hope it helps !

Hello Aspirant,
Thapar University is one of the most renowned Universities in India. In terms of quality of education, holistic development, healthy student culture, placement package, and even the fee. But as far as I know, it is mostly known for its B.Tech courses. I would suggest that if you have other options like DU, Christ University, or any other central university, maybe consider them before resorting to Thapar University.
Hope this helps
