According to your percentile in jee mains, it is difficult to get a seat in vsssut burla for branches like electrical,it and mechanical but you can hope for chemical,metallurgy and production.

The cut offs for these branches are around 2.5 L . If your rank is under 2.5 L then you can hope for burla.

To take admission in VSSUT, Burla, after your JEE mains result you'll have to fill the OBJEE counseling form online from the website.
The closing rank for 2018's OBJEE Counseling in IT department for general category student was 241190.
So as you can see your rank is close to the cut-off but it doesn't make the cutoff, so you have a really small chance to get admission in the IT department, but cutoff vary every year based on various factors so you should apply for the state level counselings and test your luck.
I'll tell you to not keep your expectations much high because there's a really slight chance.

CET has very good teachers in some branch only. But as per my experience its never about the faculties its always about your own effort. CET used to have a poor course structure due to the influence of BPUT but now it is an autonomous body. So, now everything is done in college itself examination as well as evaluation is done by branch faculties only. So it has improved a lot in terms of course studies.

Fest is an integral part of every engineering college and students look forward to this every year. Every even semester is loaded with CET fest. Its starts with the tech fest and Literature fest(Perception) then followed by sports fest(Engineer’s Cup) and end with cultural fest(XTASY). Every fest is one of its own and loaded with competitions, workshops and star nights. Stars like Darshan Raval, Amit Mishra, Gajendra Verma, Anushka Manchanda, Zephyrtone and bands like spunk, underground authority, standup comedians like Sapan Verma, Kenny Sebastian have performed in the fest. And I no other government college organise fest up to such level.

CLUBS: Cet has lot many clubs actively working throughout the year. Zairza (Robosoft club), Sangrilla and TDA(dance club), music society, sports club, photo factory, NSS .

Veer Surendra Sai university of technology formerly known as UCE is one of the oldest institution of this country and the most prestigious institution of Odisha.

Nobody can match the legacy and excellence associated with it . Also , to mention it's Alumni network spread all over the world .

The fee structure is quite affordable.

Faculty being very experienced .

Placements are great , atleast the average package you get is more than what you pay in 4 years . Please to refer to the placement statistics on vssut.ac.in for better idea .

Packed with lots of clubs and societies . We have highly ranked Robotics club along with two Automotive societies. Also we have Dance club , dramatics society which is quite active and takes part in various competitions across the country .Not to forget the Idea and Innovation cell which has done wonders and brought a lot a fame to the institution ( a part being the VSSUT satellite ).

Odisha being land of new opportunities , in view of that we have Entrepreneurship development programme cell .

Though the courses you mentioned, have so much differences, it is difficult to compare. It depends on what discipline you are ACTUALLY interested in. However, I'll highlight some key points for comparing the two institutions:

• NIT Rourkela has a higher ranking, i.e 16, against 119 ranking of VSSUT.
• NIT Rourkela has a grading of A when compared to B grade of VSSUT.
• The median salary for btech is around 6.5 LPA at NIT Rourkela and 3.6 LPA at VSSUT.

In CET Bhubaneswar looking at the past year trend you may face some difficulty in admission as it has cutoffs below 1 lakh.As far as VSSUT Burla is concerned you may get admitted into Mechatronics but it is a close call as the cutoff stays around 2.45 lakh so I hope your query is solved.Best of luck.

Electrical Engineering is one of the first branches of VSSUT Burla and the oldest in Odisha. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is relatively new in VSSUT Burla but it comes under Electrical Engineering.

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is made functional with an aim to produce qualified engineers with sound knowledge in electrical engineering and a strong background in electronics. At present, it offers one undergraduate degree, B.Tech. in EEE. Initially, the department was established in year 2010, combined with existing Electrical Engineering department. It becomes operational as an independent department in year 2020. Overall it is good .

Cutoffs for every college change every year. Last year closing ranks for JEE MAIN are 50k for general category , considering your homestate quota and UR category(as you haven't mentioned your category) , the cutoffs are not likely to see such a major drop from 50k to 115 k this year. So, sorry to say but you seem to have no chances of getting a seat in CSE branch.

In case you are from general category, there is no chance that you may get CSE at VSSUT at 80k rank. The cutoff for CSE is around 60k.
However, you can apply for electrical, it's cutoff is around 80k.

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, etc. how ever as per previous years cutoff of jee main score analysis you have less chances in VSSUT burla in any of the stream. however in cet BBSR you have slime chances in btech in textile engineering.
