see cutoff score changes year to year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of stream etc. as per previous years analysis of closing score you have less chances in IIITS or nits as for home state or all INDIA QUOTA. Considering your percentile of JEE mains, it is slightly difficult to get admission into VSSUT college. Also, it will depend upon your category. Cutoffs for this college doesn't require a great rank. If you have a rank ranging from 1.3 lakhs to 2.5 lakhs depending on your category you can get this preferred college.

With recent updates, if you clear the cut off of the college which is quite difficult with your rank, but if fortunately you get through it then there is no restrictions on the basis of 12 percent this year.

Although there are other college as well where you can get admission which are better than this.

Hello Swikruti Sahu, Yes there is a reservation for girls in VSSUT and CET and the reservation is like that 30% in every category is for girls and that reservation is only for Resident/native of Odisha state only.

Chances are More to get VSSUT still it would be better to apply for both the option in the counselling process. There will be some rank relaxation for female category and home state quota but your rank has to be in range of cutoff. You may get in further rounds so keep trying if you don't get in 1st round.

Check 1st round cutoff and how much it will be lowered in 2nd round. Is you rank near to it. Look out for these details and take step.

for current year, cutoff is unpredictable as many factors are still unknown and it will be finalized only 2nd session of jee mains.

Veer Surendra Sai University of technology Sambalpur is a good state engineering college with overall n i r f ranking of 119.

This is a good college with about 80% placement rate the average salary is about 4 lacs per annum. So I think ok 81 percentile is a little bit risky. I think in 90 percentile you make get this college. Click on the link below to know more about this college hope this will help you.

It is  better to choose VSSUT, Burla because although KIIT and VSSUT have their own brand name, but what matters is the legacy and ROI in which Burla excels.

In VSSUT, if you get CSE regular course, you have to spend 112K for 4 years only, as Hostel fees and odd semester fees is 15k while even sem fees is 13k. So you spend hardly 2.4 lakhs for 4 years total i.e course + hostel fees and here placements for CSE is nearly 90%, rest 10% are those who are having huge number of backlogs, or go for M.Tech or MBA. So ROI is 100%, and average package is 4.5 - 5.5 lpa, recruiters are Mu Sigma, Intel, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Delloite, HCL etc.

Coming to KIIT,  the course fees of KIIT for one year is more than the total fees of VSSUT for 4 years, i.e 3.4 lakhs only for course fees for 1 year in KIIT and 50k for 1 year hostel fees. So overall you spend 15.6 lakhs and  you may not get a decent job, rather end up getting a job of 3.6 lpa in Infosys/TCS/Wipro etc. Your ROI is less than 20%.

In the end, VSSUT is not a brand , its a legacy since 1956.

VSSUT Burla  offers admission through JEE Main ranks. You will have to qualify JEE Main to be eligible for admissions into the institute. After securing JEE Main ranks, you will have to apply through OJEE for admissions into VSSUT Burla .

for Computer Science and Engineering in 2019 opening rank is around 33k and closing rank is 50k

Information and Technology in 2019 opening rank is around 88k and closing ranks is around 1lac

Yes, definitely you will get civil engineering branch in PMEC sambalpur but i will prefer you to go for IGIT SARANG. You can also get lower branches in colleges like cet or burla.
