It is approved by Odisha State Government and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). It is located at Burla, Sambalpur Odisha.

Admission to B.Tech. courses of the University are based on merit of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Govt. of Odisha. Application process for Odisha JEE starts in the month of March every year. Candidates can apply online application for Odisha JEE.

The closing rank for CSE at VSSUT Odisha last year was around 65k-70k. So, if you're from general category It will not be possible for you to get admission in VSSUT Odisha. If you're from SC/ST category, you might get CSE there.

Suman, yes you can very easily get admission in VSSUT core branches. This is based on your rank and previous year cutoffs. I will list down the cutoff ranks for all the branches:-

• Computer Science and Engineering -CR (598,591)
• Electrical Engineering - CR (794,017)
• Production Engineering - CR (662,113)
• Information Technology -  CR (802,014)

But again it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper.

Yes, you will get but you won't get the regular course of CSE here, as the closing rank of CSE regular ends at 55k. But you can surely get CSE under Self Sustaining Course. Here only thing is you don't get hostel facilities and you have to pay double the course fees as that of regular.
