Btech CSE for Sastra University
Total seats- 300
Total fees- 6.20 lakh
Hostel fee- 12000 yearly
5 % annual increase in tuition fee from II year.
There is no donation procedure as per my research in Sastra University as counselling procedure is done purely based on merit. Also due to the heavy competition, there is no way to get a seat like that.
Hi Aspirant,

We all are aware there is no surety of jobs after these research oriented courses so doing it from an average college decreases your chances even more.
If you have some other options that you can go with will suggest you to choose them over this college.
If you can go for some good BSc Biotechnology colleges and after that go for IIT-JAM entrance exam through which you may get admission in IIT for MSc Biotechnology.
For IIT JAM you may visit the link provided below:

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
See if you are willing to take basic science as your career then you have to do MSc as a must. Now Integrated MSc is a great option as you have not to worry about any more entrances and you can focus on your curriculum. But I would say Integrated MSc Biotechnology in Sastra University isn't worth because I feel the curriculum isn't organized and have lesser industrial relevancy. I would suggest you to go for BSc Biotechnology and then after BSc you can write IIT-JAM to do your Masters. This way you will be able to make your future brighter.
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Both the universities are decent. But if you check the curriculum then it will imply that the SRM has more organized curriculum than that of Sastra University. Also SRM offers better faculties and placement facilities. So if you have to choose then go for SRM Main Campus (as it's the best).
I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hey,
Sastra University is a private deemed university and to be very honest it's pretty average.
We all are aware there is no surety of jobs after these research oriented course so doing it from an average college decreases your chances even more.
If you have some other options that you can go with will suggest you to choose them over this college.
But if not then you can go with the college. But don't expect much untill you are in the top 5% of your class.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.

Dear aspirant,
It is very difficult to predict the cut off for sastra University because as per my view the college would a ranking based on your jee score and ipe ts state board and accordingly you will be admitted. So, your marks is good but your jee percentile is a bit low.

My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
laboratories for bio tech and other related departments are very good and high tech here. Hostels are non ac full vegetarian, managable. wifi is 24/7 available. the environment is good for studying here.
It's average college, having wifi facilities like high tech laboratory. Bajaj and 5 g labs are there. Each building of department have different own laboratories. Hostels are non ac, but can manage. Wifi is 24/7.
