Hello T likhitha

WIth reference to your query ,I would like to inform you that admission in sastra are done on the marks scored in 12th which should be around atleast 90 percent and in mains 100+. They prepare their own meritlist on the basis of 2 criterias:One  scenario has 70% of seats. Admissions r given by taking 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% of boards.Other scenario  includes admission on the basis of boards marks only. But it has only 30% of seats , so the cut off is high

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have got 82.5 percentile in jee mains and 96% in boards so let me tell you that your 12th std marks would be definitely a plus point but there is also a huge weightage of jee mains percentile that is 70%.

So, on the basis of these two scores a merit list will be prepared by sastra University and on the basis of it your admission will take place .

Dear aspirant, for sastra there is no cutoff and no minimum percentile required. It is based on 12th percentage and jee main marks(sastra will calculate like this 12th percentage * 0.75+jee main mark * 0.25)

Total is of 165 marks. Out of 165 marks what are your marks based on that they will give the seat. Therefore there is no minimum percentile you need. However, you need to score good marks in both (12th AND JEE MAINS). There are 351 CSE seats so you need to get rank under 351 when marks are calculated out of 165. There is no reservation on the basis of caste at SASTRA University. The only reservation you can get is through the local category. However, there is a 'Trichy quota ', a 'Thanjavur quota ', and a 'Tamil Nadu quota'.

Hope, it helps!

Dear leaner,

Well in case of sastra they accept the admission behalf of entrance exam that's jee mains ,50%of btech seats are filled through jee mains also merit in 12th ,perhaps they don't have management quota ,has you secured 85 in jee mains you probably have a chance slightly .

The percentage of board should be 90-95%and score of jee mains should be 50-120 in between then one must can get a admission .

All the best .

Dear aspirant,

As you have mentioned that you have got 98% in your 12th std which is absolutely great and would help to create an edge in taking admission into sastra University but the point is 12th std marks are given weightage of 30% and the remaining 70% are given to jee mains. So, you would be admitted on the basis of 12th marks(30%) and jee mains score (70%).

Now, it depends furthur on the quality of candidates appearing for the counselling. And accordingly you will get to know whether or not your score is enough to get cse.

But I would recommend you to increase your percentile a bit to be on a safer side.

This are main factors why a large number of students are getting attracted towards this University hence this automatically says that you need a great percentile or marks to get in this college with your desired field. So telling about aim which you should keep to get in this college easily is above 95 percentile in JEE Main Entrance exam because the general trend of cutoff are getting high every year and if you are specially looking CSE branch than you have to keep your aim atleast 99 percentile because of it’s huge demand, hope so it will help you in taking a proper decision.

Thank you..

Dear aspirant,

If you aim for the top filling branch CSE, then you must Atleast have ipe percentage of 98% (980/1000) and 95 percentile in JEE Main.

With this combination you might have a Chace to get into CSE as trends of marks changes a bit up and down.

When you have good percentile like above 95 percentile you don't need IPE marks at all. Also even they sees the IPE marks in some cases.

There are lot of cases getting 930 IPE marks and good at JEE mains marks get the seat.

Hope this will be helpful for you.

ALL THE BEST.
