HI Nithish,

If you are comparing Sastra college with SSN college then if we go according to placement then Sastra University has a good record as compare to SSN college but the difference is minor

If we go for the faculty support then both the college have good faculty support

If you are looking on the basis of accommodation then SSN college has a good accommodation as compare to Sastra college

If we go according to infrastructure then this point also goes to SSN college

Here i am sharing links for the college and according to me SSN college could be a better option

Hope this will help you in a good way and can ask for more clarification

Hello Sampu!

As per the information given in the website Sastra University counselling will start from 26 June 2019.

Hope it answer your concerns.

Feel free to ask if you have any other queries.

Hi,

On the basis of previous year trends, you have a strong chance of getting CSE or IT with your Tamil Nadu rank as SASTRA reserves a certain portion of seats for TN students.

If you do possess Trichy or Thanjavur quota, you will surely get the above mentioned courses.

For stream 1 these are the cut-off ranks for sastra university thanjavur campus in previous years

cse-less than 750

ece-less than 900

eee, mech - less than 1100

ict,it-1300

others  branches - below 2100

So, you can get branches like civil, chemical, Biotechnology with your rank.

Hi Sandeep,

Congratulations for your result.

You have a good chance to get all the branches in Sastra University.

The admission is based on two ways:
Stream 1: JEE main marks + board exam marks (70% seats)
Stream 2: only board exam marks (30% seats)
There is no specific cut off to get a seat in SASTRA University. It depends on the student who scores the highest marks. If you have appeared for JEE Mains then apply under stream 1. If your board exam marks is 90-95% and JEE main marks is between 50-120 then you can get admission under stream 1.
For stream 2, your board exam marks should be at least above 85-90% to get a seat and if it is more than 95% you can get a good course.

Hope it was useful to you and your query was resolved.

Feel free to contact us for any queries.

All the best :)

Hi Aspirant,

I am very sorry to say that you won't be able to get a seat in Sastra University for the core subjects as the seats fill up below 1000 ranks for the core subjects. You have a chance to get a seat in non-core branches and m-tech integrated courses.

College Infrastructure

My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean

it is good feel to write review for helping juniors
