If you are asking about the stream for the best salary package then CSE, IT and ECE are the streams that you are looking for. The average package in these stream in colleges like Sastra University goes around 3,50,000 per annum(yearly).

I am very sorry to say that you won't be able to get a seat in Sastra University for CSE as the seats fill up below 1000 ranks for these courses. You may be able to get a seat in non-core branches.

You should look for other colleges if you want to opt for CSE.

Yes,you can. 87% is a good score and SASTRA expects the applicants to Get a good score in JEE as well. University may combine the +2 and Jee score and Mark a ranking for all applicants , based on that they 'll call for counseling and still there is a possibility you can get placed in Third round, which is open counseling (last year open counseling wasn't there). My friend got placed with 87.25% and 20 JEE in open counseling two years ago. my intuition says there is more possibility for you. but I'm not sure whether main streams like Mech, CSC, ECE, EEE will be available if you have moved for open counseling, that 'll be filled with first two counsellings...Finally yes, you can get a seat.
